Villalba is pushing in, eating jabs, and flapping his arms against Sanders haphazardly. A few good left hooks to the body. Villalba starting to find a working recipe there, abandoning his fruitless headhunting and hitting Sanders in that long midsection. Sanders leans back against the ropes and tries to back Villalba off with short counter uppers to the face, but Villalba is hellbent on working that body. Villalba shoves Sanders against the ropes, catches him bouncing off and pushes him back into position, and fires away down low. Big left hook to the chin at the bell by Villalba.

Villalba comes flying in, right hands windmilling over the top. Left hook. Looping right to the body. Sanders is trying to step back and spring traps with his left hook. Villalba won't be denied. Getting inside, and getting clinched. Ref being kept busy. Villalba keeps slashing at the body. Sanders is tossing uppercuts on the back foot, getting shoved to the ropes. Villalba chops with rights to the head, then buries his head and goes back to work on the body. Sanders tries some counter uppers with his left and right, then sets about trying to swallow Villalba up in a hug. Ref tells them to box. Soft uppercut by Sanders. Slaps to body and behind the head by Villalba. Very tired, very little steam on the punches from either. Uppercut to the body by Villalba, countered by a flush hook from Sanders that briefly turns his head upward. Slaps by Villalba. They hug at the bell.

Martinez came out to some percussive industrial music.

Caffarena is out to AC/DC, flanked by two hot girls and grinning like a kid in a candy store.

 

Round 1

Caffarena is ripping away on Martinez!! Huge flurry! Long left hooks and right hands, as Martinez covers up and gets pushed back. The ref actually interrupts - very strange. I thought he was calling a quick stoppage, but it was just a random interruption of the action for no apparent reason. Caffarena keeps tossing long hard punches at Martinez, but the Paraguayan takes his own turn coming forward drilling jabs and rights as Caffarena leans back and blocks. Caffarena dominates most of the third minute as he did the first, hooks and rights - opening a cut between the eyes of Martinez.

ALL OUT SLUGFEST! :wooo Each is just taking his turn throwing absolute bombs at the other. Ultimately it's Martinez who goes down. Up at seven and a half. He looks a bit shaky, but sets back to task exchanging furious power punches with Caffarena. Martinez actually regains the upper hand a few times, pushing Caffarena back to the ropes with long series of clean head shots. Body work from Caffarena cuts these short, and it's him blasting Martinez across the ring once more.
