Great to hear, hope he steps away from Boxing for a while, he's been in far too many tough fights for a lad his age.

Maybe in his next fight his coach will coach him to avoid getting hit.

great news! appleby's a credit to the sport like simpson, he's a warrior always in great fights, the fans love that do or die ****, even tho letting his heart rule his head aint good for his career or health. no shame in losing to simpson because that guy is one hard little ****er! theres too many boxing snobs who only jizz their pants at the slicksters and monsters at the elite level and look down their nose at the domestic/euro level guys. imo a great scraps a great scrap, skill levels mean little to me allbeit impressive, i'd still rather watch a tear up at any level. its the heart of guys like paul and john who make me love the sport, they show no less heart than the top boys imo, its just the athletic ability and skill thats missing to put them at that level, thats not a slant at them because they're great pro fighters just not elite. appleby should hold his head up high, too many so called world class fighters [''hype jobs''] and padded record fighters get the love on this site. i love my domestic scraps, i love watching appleby, and simpson is one of my fav fighter to watch, the guys a legend in my eyes. im no expert but imo appleby should have a long break let his head and body recover and come back when ready to give us more great action to watch which no doubt he will.

Good to hear he's ok Billy as he seems a good bloke, i spoke with him at John's wedding for a few mins just after his defeat to Walsh seemed a right decent guy so hopefully he recovers well.
