Foreman had a great chin. Never KO'd by power shots. Only down 4 times.
Tyson had a decent chin but was KO'd by Buster Douglas in his prime.
Tyson has very few late KO's and is most dangerous in the first 5 rounds.
Foreman was tough enough to take some shots early on and then he would beat Mike to a pulp.
    Foreman TKO5 Tyson.

I love Prime Mike but Prime Foreman can only be beaten by Ali. Foreman was just better.
    Better chin,harder hitter,mentally tougher etc

It depends on who lands more.

It takes an accumulation of shots to put Tyson away and I don't see Foreman as the kind of fighter who can land enough combinations to topple him. George throws one chopping blow at a time which will probably benefit Tyson more than him. If anyone was a one dimensional come forward fighter between the two it would be Foreman. Obviously he wasn't but against Tyson he'd look the part.

Tyson ALWAYS fought guys with height and reach advantages. His style was to get close enough mid range and use his defense to sweep under an offensive onslaught, use head movement, place his feet in a position to counter, and execute a volley of punches. Foreman will be wide open for these massive bombs. I see George being able to absorb some shots but not for long.

Nobody stands in front of Tyson and trades. Not even Foreman.

    Iron Mike.

Big George and Frazier had their chin out there, Iron Mike would walk right in their guard.

This would be a brutal fight, huge bombs being thrown and landed by both men as they each try to overwhelm one another in a titanic clash of heavyweight monsters.

I see this being similar in some ways to Tyson/Ruddock. Tyson would beat Foreman to the punch and land some hard combinations but Foreman is durable and would fire back and land hard hooks and uppercuts of his own behind that ramrod jab.

But Foreman isn't Ruddock he would be more active and was a 2 handed fighter unlike Ruddock who relied way too much on his "smash". Foreman had the physical strength to force Tyson back and if the referee allowed him to get away with his illegal pushing tactics giving him the space to land his bombs it would eventually end up being a painful night for Iron Mike.

I see Tyson starting off well but as the fight reaches the middle rounds Foreman begins to take control. There may be a few knock downs along the way for both men but I see Foreman stopping Tyson via a big uppercut around the 8th or 9th round.

I don't see how anyone picks Foreman. I figure it is one of these reasons:

They think Tyson is like Frazier, which he is in no way, better fighter, totally different style

They hate Tyson, so pick agaisnt him

Anything Foreman could do Tyson could do, but better. Tyson had way more skills, and Foreman could not even hold title long.

Foreman couldnt hold the title long because he had to fight in the 70's silly boy. Tyson couldnt beat Ali either. And the second Foreman title reign lasted from 1994-1997. Foreman had a better chin, harder punches and was mentally tougher. Tyson rarely KO'd a guy after 5 rounds and Geogre isnt getting stopped early. I absolutely love Iron Mike Tyson and he's even from my neighborhood but George was a better fighter and champion and although Tyson is not very similar to Frazier,Tyson was a swamwer and George would beat that ass.

70's are overrated by some, you included. Tyson would have easily beaten Ali of 1974, Foreman's effort was a joke. Ron Lyle was slow, Shavers was slower. Jimmy Young beating Foreman, andLyle almost koing him exposed Foreman.

Tyson is horribly overrated and Fought in a Hw division weaker than todays.Foreman is a bad fight for Tyson and even Mike knew it.This fight goes Just like the Frazier fights because of the SIMILIAR styles. Tyson gets inside but then gets hammered after running into a wall.Fanboys seem a little more sure of Tysons "power and speed " getting the job than Mike himself did. And Any idiots saying ******ed **** like Tyson is a better fighter than Frasier... really?Cause last time I checked Smokin Joe fought in a tougher division and had a win against an undefeated Ali and other very good fighters as well....and his only loses were to Ali and Foreman.Whats Tysons best win? Ruddock, the ex light heavy Spinks?.....GTFO.

Anyone who can't see that Tyson is way better than Frazier has a lot to learn. Two handed, faster, way better defense--in fact, frazier had almost no defense. Better foot movement--how the **** can people look at Tyson, and cause of similar size to Frazier, think they are even comparable?

Who did Tyson beat that proves he is better than Frazier? Are you seriously saying the division Mike fought in was even close to as good as the Ali/Frazier era? Mike Tyson in his prime couldnt last 12 rounds with Douglas but you think he would Beat Ali.....You seem to be the one who has alot to learn.

Your right it does take an accumulation of shots to put Tyson away. Foreman might not land on Tyson in bunches, but when he does it would not be pretty

And yes Tyson has always fought guys with reach and height advatanges, but nobody like Foreman. You add a great chin, powerful shots, and just the strength to push Tyson around the ring like a rag doll, and I see a loss for even prime Tyson. The advantages I listed above would just be too much. I have no doubt Tyson would land some good shots on Foreman, like you said Foreman defense wasn't the best. But while coming in to get to Foreman I see Tyson eating some uppercuts, If Tyson got too close Foreman just over powers Tyson and pushes him off.

I think your last statement should be the exact opposite. Nobody stands in front of Foreman and trades. Especially a shorter fighter who is going to eat uppercuts all night. If Tyson was a bit taller I would favor him, the fact he has to get closer to Foreman to land a good shot than Foreman has to get to Tyson is why I favor Foreman. Both guys have there advantages. Just from what I've seen, Foreman's advantages are just a stronger case than the speed, quickness, defense one for Tyson.

What won't be pretty? Foreman's face after taking flush bomb after bomb?:yep

Tyson won't stand in front of Foreman. Refer back to my post about angles. Tyson's elusiveness would make Foreman's offense look amateurish. Mike's not a Marciano or a Frazier who attack in a straight line. Foreman on the other hand will stand right in front of Tyson, offering little head movement and a stationary target. Foreman is D O O M E D.

You keep saying Foreman pushes him off. Anyone putting their arms out without protecting their face against an accurate puncher like Tyson will be in serious trouble. And I doubt Foreman, who was 224 lbs in his prime, would be able to push a 221 lbs Tyson around like a rag doll.
