Very close fight dude. Trust me i wish i could say that Chambers was robbed... I had a decent little sum of money on him to win in fact. But what i saw is a one armed Chambers making it a very close fight. I think a decision either way was fair. Two armed Chambers would win comfortably against Adamek though.
Toney is overweight & shot, sounds like a typical Adamek HW opponent & a Polish PPV event Maybe he can fight Bowe & then Holmes next to secure his legacy, that would be great
Yeah. I have seen that. Maybe i am wrong. Just calling it the way i saw it. Will go back and watch the fight again at some point though.
How is this a bad fight? I don't think Adamek will have an easy time in this fight. He is only favored to win because James might come in out of shape and is old. Even still an old James Toney will give a guy like Adamek all he can handle. Most importantly it will be an entertaining fight.
Because the people who go out to watch Adamek fight couldn't give a **** about legitimate fights. They'll watch Adamek beat a blind cripple and celebrate it as a victory for their country(you know, the one that they couldn't wait to leave).atsch
James Toney does have a title so that could be why. The other reason is it's a money fight. James Toney is still marketable, he hasn't been knocked out or truly dominated in a fight. He might have enough left to beat Adamek. This is a dangerous fight for Adamek and it all depends on which James Toney shows up. If James Toney shows up in shape and can go 12 then Adamek will be in trouble. But we know James Toney probably wont show up in good shape and that is the only reason I'd favor Adamek. Adamek cannot KO Toney and an in shape Toney easily outboxes him.
Likely because of the Bscene link in the OP. And yeah, this fight is horrid. Worst HW fight all year even exceeding Wlad v Mormeck and Vitali v Charr.
Chambers asked for a rematch, why would the glasspole go and fight a completely shot beyond any shadow of a doubt Toney?
Why is it a bad fight? Because James Toney is old and shouldn't be able to fight? Both fighters are coming off wins. Both fighters are ranked. Whether it should be a PPV fight we can debate but I do want to see this fight. If James Toney is going to continue fighting at all these are the sorts of fights he should be fighting. He has a chance of winning, and it's entertaining for the fans. Adamek has always been overrated and as a boxer isn't even in the same league as James Toney. He's relying on the fight that James Toney will be too old and out of shape to compete hard for 12 rounds.
Who would you rather see James Toney and Adamek fight instead of each other? Fighters have to fight each other.
