Tomasz Adamek vs James Toney agreed - FFS

Because Adamek isn't good enough to beat Vitali or Wlad. Who else is he going to fight? Be honest. Who else would Adamek have to fight?

Both of them are non-entities in the division, sure.. but James Toney is probably less important to the heavyweight division than Hulk Hogan at this point.

 

What other title holder can Adamek realistically beat?

 

You're putting too much thought into this. Toney is shot beyond comprehension and has lost the accuracy, timing and balance of even his early HW campaign. It's not just a weight or conditioning problem anymore. He's just about as decrepit as Roy Jones.

This fight is a travesty and I definitely will lose respect for Adamek if it happens.

James Toney has a title and a name. That is enough to make a money fight.

It's not a legacy fight for either of them. Only Wlad or Vitali is a legacy fight and neither of them will be able to beat those guys so honestly this is as good of a fight as can be made for either of them in my opinion. Adamek isn't a young guy anymore himself.

Shameful really, having people pay their hard earned money to see him in against a no hoper. He should be ashamed of himself.

 

And thats why it's a good competitive fight. Adamek never was in Toney's league and 5 years ago we all know Toney would KO him.

Now it's a good fight for both of them. It's not a guarantee that Adamek can even beat this old James Toney.

 

Toney shouldn't be fighting. He is done. He has nothing left. Simple.

There are plenty of other fighters Adamek could have faced. Beating up a slurring fat shell of Toney will prove nothing. It's a horrible fight.

When was Toney's last NOTABLE win? When he he last do something SIGNIFICANT at heavyweight?

I'm pretty sure Adamek could have chosen a better opponent. Are we seriously saying that the best fighter available at this stage, is Toney?

 

Exactly. It's not just a mismatch, it's a bout against a guy who's obviously brain damaged. Adamek has been in enough big fights that he shouldn't stoop to this level. This damages his credibility, imo.

 

James Toney always talked like that. How long have you been watching him speak?

He still has a boxing less, Adamek is not Wlad or Vitali, so let them fight. They are the same size.

 

Will this fight be for the IBU heavyweight title that Toney won in his last fight ?
