Why No Mexican Heavyweight Legends?

    The lower weights were/are stacked with legends how come no love for the Heavyweight division over the years?

    Mexicans, and Latinos in general, tend to be smaller.

    I think that the average mexican is about 5"5.5"

    I'm guessing because like asians, mexicans are a typically pretty small or regular sized people, so not many are going to be big enough?

    just a guess though. dont know what i'm talking about.

    There are some big mexicans but they are few and even less are good at boxing

    It's a numbers game. Compare [url]Heavyweight[/url] with [url]Featherweight[/url] in Mexico (hyperlinks).

    If you do the same for the US, the situation is reversed, with [url]Featherweight[/url] having way fewer fighters than [url]Heavyweight.[/url]

    As many have stated, it has to do with Hispanics in general being of shorter stature than those of other regions.

    Mexicans don't eat as much processed or hormone laced food as their northern & western neighbors. As soon as the fast food joints and shitty foods take hold in Mexico, then expect 6"-7" giants.
