:patsch How do you think boxers cut weight then put it back on the next day? Its dehydration. Running in a sweatsuit and not re hydrating, that kind of thing.

You mad if you think Cotto isnt still cutting weight for the weigh ins. What do you think draining your self is? Surgically removing your muscle mass then putting it back in the next day?

Awwww, did your taint get a bit moist when you posted that? I think it did.

Your "break down" of circumstances surrounding what Cotto's "prime" , was absolutely disastrous and disgusting. You should be ashamed of yourself. But you won't. You'll just keep sucking the Chin Checkers collective cocks, gang-bang style.

Do we all get brownie points for breaking down fights?

This isn't "back in the day." This is a new, contemporary fistic era.

Cotto isn't "cutting' weight to make 154. He makes the weight simply by training hard. . . He doesn't dehydrate any excess water weight 48-72 hours before weigh-in, nor diet in general during training camp. . . He walks into training camp around 165, and simply loses the 10-12 pounds by working out hard (like anybody would do if they trained hard for 10 weeks).

 He lost a decision; a very close decision, at that. . .

He was coming off the two best wins of his career. . .

Stop it, MAB was at the peak of his career when Pacquiao thumped him.

Muscle mass weighs more that body fat. You honestly have no clue what your talking about.

He burns the 10-12 pounds of excess fat he carries around when not training for 3-4 months. . THen when he begins his training camp, he burns off that excess fat by simply training hard over the course of 10 weeks. This is not "cutting" weight. This is simply getting in shape.

Cutting weight is this: 99% of all boxers first lose any excess fat in training camp by training, AND dieting. . . Some boxers who stay in shape year round, won't even lose any weight during training camp, but they will still cut the water weight before the weigh-in.

This in turn causes loss of ACTUAL BODY MASS (mostly muscle becuase you're in starvation mode). . . However, if you do it right over 24- 48 hours, it's quite easy to be back at full strength, and completely rehdyrated over 24 hours. . . THIS IS WHAT 99% OF ALL BOXERS DO - this is where your "natural FIGHTING weight" is. . Cotto DOES NOT DO THIS to make 154 pounds, thereby he's not "natural" at 154, like other guys like Canelo, Lara are. Cotto's NATURAL FIGHTING WEIGHT is 147 pounds.

You have obviously never participated in sports that require weigh-cutting techniques. . It's ok, not many posters here have. . .

Yes, me and you are at the top of the food chain on ESB for analyses, and scrutinization of boxers, and boxing matches.

If Cotto would DIET like 99% of all boxers do during training camp, and then restrict fluid intakes (known as the "cutting" process) 24-48 hours before the weigh-in, he would make 147 NO PROBLEM (as evinced by him coming in at 146 anyway). . .

Lol, it doesn't take a genius to realize Cotto is fighting "heavy" at 154 - the dude is short, and compact. . He's not even 5'7''...

IF Cotto will fight, AND BEAT a NATURAL, PRIMED, CLASS 154 pounder (LOL x 1000, NOT Mayorga, Foreman, or glass, one-eyed Margarito), then he will get my respect for being a 154 pounder boxer. . .

    He's simply a SWOLT (not a word, I know), BLOATED welterweight, though. . .

    Officially, 2: Barerra and Marquez

Only, apart from the official result, he never beat Marquez.

    So essentially, just 1: Barerra.

Mark my words, in ~10 years time Pacquiao will be regarded as an energetic fighter who was exciting for a few fights, but overrated during the latter part of his career and that's it. Poor technical boxer, one dimensional, questionable results that bolster his record, and suspicion of PED use; that's Manny.
