August 4th at Mobile Civic Center's expo Hall, Alabama. I take back all of my criticism. This is an awesome fight! Price is the guy who got a split decision over Tor Hammer, so he is a legit guy who is about at Deontay's level. Also matches up well size wise. Good show.
Hamer is a decent name on his resume but an SD over six rounds is hardly substantial. The rest of his check sheet is rubbish, plus he's 37. Another easy night for Deontay.
Ten rounds isn't it? By the time he's forty, maybe Wilder will have a) fought someone with a pulse and b) fought in a twelve-rounder.
Ur right man he is so protected that if kelvin price is the best name on ur resume then there something wrong.
:yep Kelvin is 6´7, 37 years old and has 28 pounds on Wilder. He did beat Hamer and he has some skills but he is just perfect for Wilders right hand. Kelvins fast jab will give Wilder some trouble and it could set up a KO. Too bad that Kelvin isn't a big puncher. Kelvin is in shape and will bring his A game. This is a step up for Wilder for sure and it will show his capabilities in the ring. * And both guys have really really skinny legs :hey. This wont go the distance.
Price is a step up for Wilder and its going to be on Fox sports so its a good showcase fight for Wilder. Price beat Hammer a couple years ago as well as guys like Frazier and Long, who might not be great, but they are probably better than anyone Wilder has beaten so far.
This is exactly my point. A lot of guys are underestimating Price here- right now, he arguably has the better record and thus is indeed a good step.
This is a big step up for Wilder, maybe too much. Price is underrated, the man has solid skills, is trained by Roy Jones Sr. and nulifies Wilder`s size advantages as he is big himself. I`m still not sold this fight will actually happen. The winner of this becomes a legit contender and should become top 10 rated at one of the ABCs.
This is the kind of fight Wilder should take. He'll have to tighten up his punching technique to really make any noise, imo. He's way too predictable.
