    Thanks for this.

Does he talk much about his work with Teddy and Tommy Yarosz?

Does he talk much about his work with Teddy and Tommy Yarosz?

There are five pages concerning Teddy Yarosz but no mention of Tommy.

Dose it talk about how he ditched Duran after the No Mas fight? It's well documanted that I'm no fan of Duran, but it's chicken **** to ditch someone in their worst hour.

How clever was Teddy Yarosz as a boxer? I"'ll tell you how clever," Ray Arcel answered. He was that clever I thought he beat Billy Conn three times, not once as the books say and to me Billy Conn was the greatest light heavy of all time and rates right up there with the best fighters in history.

sounds good but is it just a re-run of the same information and stories in dave anderson's ringmasters or john jarrett's book on arcel (champ in the corner) not trying to put down this new book but dont want to get it and read the same information again. As champ in the corner is a good book but it does re-tell some of the same stories that are in ringmasters

Yes, there are a number of pages concerning Ezzard Charles.

"Dose it talk about how he ditched Duran after the No Mas fight? It's well documanted that I'm no fan of Duran, but it's chicken **** to ditch someone in their worst hour."

There is a lot of information provided concerning the whole No Mas issue.

"is it just a re-run of the same information and stories in Dave Anderson's ringmasters or john jarret's book on arcel...."

Some of the information in this book is covered in those two books but there is an awful lot more that isn't included in either. I don't like to knock other books but I have both on Arcel now and I'd recommend this one over the previous one.

Heady words about Billy Conn from Ray Arcel, who I saw at Stillman's gym numerous times , training his charges alongst Whitey Bimstein, Freddy Brown, Charley Goldman, Chickey Ferrera, etc. When one of them was out of town for a bout, another trainer took over the duties...
If Conn was not THE best lightheavyweight ever, he was certainly the best looking LH...Cheers...

Was eyeing this up recently but the price and the number of pages put me off.

Bought the other Arcel bio by John Jarrett and found it rather lacking in Arcel info, was mostly padded out with potted bio's of the fighters he trained

As a side note, whilst looking up on Amazon to remember Jarretts name I noticed he has this coming out

Read Walkers own biography and loved it, nice to see another overlooked fighter get a bio
