Yeah that shows you how successful communism is. Nothing more than a glorified caste system.

You're right on the money. Look at someone like Nonito Donaire, he is more black culturally than Rigondeux. But Donaire was born in the USA.

Look at Cotto, he's found his voice and fanbase now that he speaks english and spanish. Now everyone likes Cotto but there was a time where people don't care what he had to say because it wasn't in english.

The main barrier is language. If a black fighter can't speak well he wont have a fanbase.

Tyson could speak well and perform in the ring. We remember the stuff Tyson would say about fighters after he knocked them out and before he knocked them out. Ali is another, Mayweather is another, even guys like Roy Jones Jr and James Toney.

You cannot get by just on your skills, you gotta have a voice. Rigondeux should learn english, make a Twitter and Facebook and go on BET and various radio stations. If he does this he will develop a fanbase and if he doesn't then he's just being lazy about his career and deserves what he gets.

I think he's trying. Right now he's at the Edison Miranda level where he will speak via a translator to the internet. We need to get him to the Cotto level where he can give interviews in English even if its bad english.

There's no such a thing, the promoters are doing a $h1tty job and they don't bring the fights where the Cubans live, South Miami, we fill the stadiums and arenas for the heats, marlins and panthers and did it for casamayor when he fought at the Miami Arena back in 2004-05 I don't remember exactly the year now, but I was there along with Dundee, RIP, Ali, the Estefanies and every other Cuban celebrity, some uneducated fans had bought into this BS, promoted by the same ppl that are protecting their cash cows.

You don't know $h1t about your own country, assuming you are from USA, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cuban_American#Demographics
    PS.Economics
The median household income for Cuban Americans is $36,671, a figure higher than all other Hispanic groups, but lower than for non-Hispanic whites.
In contrast, US-born Cuban Americans have a higher median income than even non-Hispanic whites, $50,000 as compared to $48,000 for non-Hispanic whites

FOr the most part they are not that "exciting" to watch. They have skills no doubt but nothing to excite the average boxing fan.

Gamboa is the exception but he made a shitty business decision. A victory over Rios would have done wonders for his career.

Yeah, two divisions north and against a fighter that will come over the limit, not to mention that he will still slaved to Oner-Gnozalez you are a very smart person.

Name one good boxer from Samoa , let alone a " exciting one " , ¿ Tua ? , one of the WORST boxers that ever existed , a ploding mastodont with no boxing skills whatsoever , you guys are only good for screaming and doing faces before Rugby games start , STFU .
