From a fans perspective I think it'll be another great event; however, from a true boxing perspective this fight makes no sense whatsoever (putting aside ppv revenues etc). Surely a rematch is warranted had the fight been very close and not decisive? It was a clear Mayweather victory at 154lbs. I think a Pacquiao rematch at 154 would make a lot more sense. No catch weight, no psychologically scarred Cotto.

We all know Cotto vs Canelo at 154 makes by far the most sense, right?

I would love for a Cotto vs Pacquiao fight!

But I doubt they can agree on a weight!

If it makes dollars, it makes sense.

Floyd dominated no need to rematch, Canelo, or Kirkland, or Martinez but we know Floyd and how he do

Cotto and Mayweather are not fighting for legacy anymore. They paid their dues, now they're cashin in on their investment (their career).

Cotto vs. Canelo, than winner takes on Floyd. Cotto gave Floyd a competitive fight, but still lost the fight clearly. If Cotto can dominate Canelo and make a true statement for a rematch only than would it be very intresting.

    Canelo and Kirkland? :rofl

This coming from a jackass that shamelessly ran the "Margarito is this era's Hagler" campaign.

But can they match their previous 1.5m PPV sales? You guys are hardcore boxing fans.. would you pay to see a Mayweather-Cotto rematch? Be honest. I would but only if the undercard is very good. As for Canelo Alvarez, will he ever feature on an undercard again?

The **** outta here. If you call that a domination, you need to replace your eye balls (Not with Floyd's balls).

Floyd in no way dominated that fight. It was the most competitive fight he has had in years. I agree Floyd clearly won, but Cotto made him dig deep.

It was a tough fight but a clear win for Mayweather. I gave Cotto 3 rounds with Mayweather 9. If that's not domination, on paper at least, then I don't know what is.

i think it makes all the sense in the world. cotto won 5 rounds and he busted floyd up. he lost convincingly...but he's had the most success of any previous floyd opponent. he gave floyd the opportunity to fight for his title at 154...the least floyd can do is give him an opportunity to win it back. msg makes even more sense! it's going to be great.

pac loses to bradley, jmm, cotto and floyd. he needs to choose his next option wisely.

If Cotto fought one more time and continued looking like an improved fighter, then maybe I would.

But most of the revenue comes from the casual fan. I don't think 1.5 mil would be matched, but I think it does atleast 1 mil which is an excellent payday.
