I don't really see how Thompson wins here. He isn't exactly a massive puncher and he's not going to out point Wlad.
I don't think Thompson is that bad a bet to win by KO in the early rounds considering they're 200/1 odds for each round. What ever way you look at it Thompson is a top 10 HW, 6'6, decent chin and a south paw with decent KO power. In theory he ticks most of the boxing needed to beat Wladimir. More so that Wladimir's last 4 opponents.
Good post Manning.:good But.....Thompson lacks the key ingredient in winning this fight.......explosiveness. TT is a great all around fighter, and it sucks he had a late start and was generally considered a sparring partner type fighter until about 5 yrs ago. Happy he's getting a payday, but I'd rather seen him get a fight with Potvetkin or even Vitali instead.
thompson simply isnt good enough to beat wlad. its going to a one sided fight. a usually klit bro fight
itsHugeBitch, I tend to agree with you. Thompson's staredown would certainly radiate enough for me to come up with a quitting excuse. Then again, I had the Rahman arrival for the Wlad fight a total Rock shock since he looked like he was about to fall asleep on the pre-fight pressers. These young slick black fighters post a threat to the Brothers Champions.
Lol you muppet - I understand that! And I'm not criticising you for taking a punt. I was just curious why you think so? Break it down for me
