With a solid win over Mathebula puts Donaire ahead of Rigondeaux in the junior featherweight rankings and should put him in line for a fight with Nishioka as I heard that Nishioka will be at the fight as well. Exciting times are ahead for the division.

Common sense, rigondeaux is the one that needs to step up his competition.

in the junior featherweight division rigondeaux is ranked 2nd behind Nishioka the most accomplished fighter in the division, Donaire ranks at 3rd. P4P sure he's a hell of a lot higher but thats not what I'm talking about. I'm excited for the division itself.

@ 122, I think Rigo is ahead of Donaire because his wins over Cordoba, and what's his name, the dude who beat the Japanese guy are more impressive than Donaire's Vazquez Jr., and that Argentinean guy. . . But Mathebula is a good bit better than Teon Kennedy, so yeah, he should move ahead. . .

Nishioka is clear number one. . .

BUt @ 122, Rigo has fought better comp. than Donaire. . Well, after Donaire fights (and assumes he beats) Mathebula, he should move ahead. . .

oh ****, nevermind, Donaire fought that Argentinean dude at 118. .

But I guess after he beats Mathebula, he;d be ahead of Rigo at 122. . . Cordoba was kind of on his last limb, and Rico Ramos really wasn't that good. . .

But technically "right now," Rigo has done more at 122.

Narvaez was at 118. And Rico Ramos KO'd "the Japanese guy," Akifumi Shimoda.

Donaire will never fight Rigo. Never.

I'd gladly like to be wrong, but nah.

I would bet, like, $100 on it, though.

I see Donaire grabbing the IBF, maybe going for a fight with Arce / fighting Nishi (either or, or both), and then moving to FW. He won't fight Rigo, and Rigo won't go past 122, I don't reckon.
