I think Ritchie Woodhall should become the permanent host, he basically took over lol That female boxer is a bit tasty too hmmmm
I for one miss his manly chest squeezed into a tight shirt thats 2 sizes too small and the buttons straining to pop with the force that would even deck the granite chinned Adam Smith. No homo.
I have quite mixed feelings about Johnny Nelson.............. I think he is a really decent guy, I've read his autobiography (which is an excellent read) and he is someone who has worked incredibly hard to get where he is. He has done a great deal of good outside of the ring, and personally I think he deserves more recognition than he gets. He was a World Champion for a long time, and although many of his fights were ultimately disappointing, he continued to win. With respect to his presenting on SkyI think he is actually a natural in front of the camera, when he is ad-libbing he is far more effective, I particularly enjoyed his recent segment on Amir Khan training in the Philippines; but I must admit to cringing whenever he is required to use the autocue (to the point where I actually feel embarressed for him). I feel he is a good addition to Sky, his pre and post fight analysis are often very good (although he never predicts Prizefighter correctly!), I just feel he is being misused as the co-host of Ringside.
Agreed. Woodhall is a better presenter (i.e. he can read) but he's pretty boring. Him and Smith together lack colour (no racist). But Nelson and Smith together are too camp and cheesy.
The difference between him as a pundit on a fight night being asked a question as opposed to him being the presenter and interviewer on Ringside is like night and day in terms of how comfortable he is. You can feel his discomfort coming through the screen on Ringside. Strange it's gone on so long when Sky are usually the masters of slickness in their presentations.
Cannot stand him. I have feeling the only reason he is still at Sky is that he is one of the few ex-boxers with no personality that doesnt overshadow Adam Smith.
