    This man knows Boxing. Roy has no Chin. None. And never did.

    This thread was entertaining, but I'm not sure if it was a success.

    Ha! Why the **** would Roy have fought Sanders? Just because he'd beaten Wlad, who was a nobody at the time?

    All heavyweights can punch dumbass!

    Are you saying Ruiz didn't have the power to knock out Roy? Most LHW's, and every CW and HW could have knocked out Roy, if they'd have had the opportunity.

    Wlad was not a nobody, he was a former world champion.

    This heavyweight couldn't punch.

    The reason for that is because Roy had no chin.

    Stupidest statement of all-time. Not all HWs can punch and Ruiz was one of those Feather Fisters. Not only did he have pillow hands, but he is also one of the least talented and skilled HWs ever, as well. Roy handpicked him because he knew he was Feather Fisted and knew that ever since having his own Glass Jaw Shattered by Tua that he was more apt to grapple than fight.

    There was another Feather Fisted HW at that time, as well, Chris Byrd, and Glass Jaw Roy could have chosen him, as well. He didn't because Byrd, unlike Ruiz, actually had skill and probably could have landed enough to KO him even with his Feather Fists.

    But, since this guy and I have a like opinion on your Glass Jawed Hero, I suppose you'll now use the tried and true method of accusing him of being an alt of mine, right?

    :lol::lol::lol:

    Your hero has no Chin and no resume. None.

    Every fighter that's ever fought at heavyweight had the abilty to knock Roy out. Any pro fighter that weighs 200 pounds and over, could knockout Roy. You guys mention Roy's chin all the time.

    Roy didn't have a great chin. I agree completely!

    That is my point! You say Ruiz was feather fisted. Against other heavies, yes he was. But a guy that weighs 16 and a half stone who fights at heavyweight is not feather fisted to guy who normally fights at 175 is he? Roy went up to 200 pounds and was still outweighed by over 30 pounds.

    Ruiz could have taken Roy out at any point, had he had the opportunity.

    Just because Ruiz didn't knock a lot of guys out at Heavy, doesn't mean he couldn't have easily have knocked out Roy.

    You haven't read my post properly has usual.

    Roy fighting ANY heavyweight would be a dangerous fight for him to take.

    Think about it!

    It is a combination of several factors. He wasn't a dangerous opponent because he couldn't punch period, most often chose not to punch in favor of wrestling, and wasn't talented or skilled enough to land punches when he decided to try and throw some. Watch the fight, it was a disgrace and it shows just how ****ing horrible Ruiz was. Roy potshotted oftentimes barely breaking the double digits in punch stats while Ruiz literally did nothing. He is so awful he has lost to two blown-up MWs and a blown-up CW. If that isn't an easy fight then there is no such thing. Think about it, he's such an impressive and awe-inspiring challenge for a MW to take on that two of them have easily beat him.

    My point was, Wlad wasn't a huge name at the time, like he his now. Roy was chasing a Tyson fight, that would have been completely pointless, but it would have made each fighter millions of dollars. Roy wouldn't have been interested in a Sanders fight, it wouldn't have been a big money fight.

    You're missing my point about heavies. I know there's heavies out there that haven't had many knockouts. They're not big hitting heavyweights. But what I'm saying is, any heavyweight that's ever fought, would of had the power to Knockout a former 160 fighter like Roy. Do you understand?

    Even a guy with a low knockout ratio, would be a big puncher to someone like Roy moving up from 175, who's used to fighting guys between 160-185. That was my point.

    Regards, Loudon.

    Roy wasn't chasing ****. He was talking about who he was going to fight, typically not making proactive gestures to make said fights happen, and planning on going back to LHW because he wanted no part of his Mandatory who was Vitali Klitschko. He picked Ruiz for a reason and did not take another HW fight for a reason. What do you not understand about this, moron?

    You act like these sorts of fights against lesser-known fighters like the Klitschkos, Byrd, Sanders, etc. were beneath Roy's status when in reality he NEVER made the biggest fights happen and therefore would have no reason to turn down decent paydays against these guys. He never fought megafights with outrageous money on the line and there is no reason he should have been turning down solid fights for solid money chasing megafights which was something he never did. Ever. His entire career of fighting lesser competition for peanuts should be enough to tell you what a ludicrous assumption you are making.

    He was a dangerous opponent to Roy, from Roy's perspective. I don't rate Ruiz that highly at all. I'm in agreement with you. But He had enough power to knock Holy down and he weighed nearly 17 stones for some fights. Don't tell me he was feather fisted to Roy. He outweighed Roy by nearly 30 pounds on the night of the fight.

    How can he not have been a dangerous opponent? You've no perspective.

    He wasn't a big punching heavy against other heavies, but he was a big puncher to Roy.

    If Andre Ward moved up and fought a nobody at heavy, it would still be a risk for him.

    Read the entire post you quoted, moron. I explained it above. Yes, he hit slightly harder than the majority of Roy's opponents but he still can't punch his way out of a paper sack which limits the chance of a one-punch KO and with his limited ability he was not even apt to hit him cleanly or enough to have any effect. It was a safe fight. Period. There is a reason Ruiz has lost to every ****ing lower weight opponent who had a scrap of talent and chose to move up and face him. He sucks.

    Why would he fight Byrd or Sanders when he wanted Tyson? Look, just look it up on the web. There's various quotes from Murad Muhammad, who says he got Roy $17 million for the Ruiz fight, but he couldn't get him the Tyson one. If you don't believe me fine. You have the web at your disposal, so look it up. Why the **** would Murad lie? He was interviewed last year. He hasn't worked with Roy for over 7 years. But If I post up the links, it won't be good enough for you will it?

    :lol::lol::lol::lol::rofl:rofl:patsch

    Same sad story. Roy and his camp said something and you consider it Fact. Glass Jaw Roy's career history of never making megafights is the only evidence to consider. He talked about who he was willing to fight time and time again and in the end we saw who he was willing to fight; second-tier jokes. He never wanted any of those fights and priced himself out of all of them, the Tyson fight included. I don't remember the figure they were throwing out at the time but it was ****ing ludicrous to think that a guy who couldn't give away PPVs was going to get the lion's share against any true draw like Tyson.
