If SRR could not KO LaMotta in 7 fights no way is Jones going to. No way in Hell. Also, LaMotta put SRR on his ass and we all know how good of a Chin SRR had. It is why I laugh when I see the 18 year old Jones fanboys on here say he would beat SRR @ 160. Sorry, ain't happening. SRR did not have a career filled with handpicked opponents the guy fought everyone there was to fight and then some. And still wasn't KOed in brutal and embarrassing fashion even though he fought way longer than he should have by fighters like feather fisted Glen Johnson.

Fought everyone? C'mon Rico you know Ray admitted to ducking Burley :good

Ray was naturally much smaller than Jones, his best weight was at 147. No reason to believe that at 160+ Jones couldn't KO Lamotta. He'd hit him whenever he wanted, and Jones hit hard.:bbb

SRR in my opinion in a fight @ 160 would beat a Roy Jones who was coddled and never fought anyone at that weight like SRR did. Jones would not be able to KO LaMotta unless he brought a baseball bat. Fact.

Jones on the other hand has ZERO punch resistance. None.

200 fights, 0 losses via KO. Iron Chinned Warrior. Fact.

Did you not see SRR remove Gene Fullmer from consciousness with one hook? Glass Jaw Roy never did that to any opponent with a great Chin at any weight. LaMotta was a big MW and would bully Glass Jaw Roy around the ring walking through whatever he had to throw. He faced a who's who of lethal punchers and was knocked down once in over 100 fights. Roy has nothing that he hasn't seen.

Roy beat one good fighter at MW and one at SMW. It is ludicrous to suggest that he was unstoppable and could ever stop an Iron Chinned Warrior like LaMotta when he didn't even destroy the best competition from his own era.

    Wake up, nuthugger.

We're talking about Lamotta not Fullmer :patsch Dauthille the danish pastry was beating Lamotta's AZZ all over the ring outboxing him like no one's business until Lamotta got a lucky KO shot. Prime Roy Jones is 1 million times the fighter that danish disgrace to boxing is and would son him worse than Robinson did. FACT.

Nice BoxRec skills. Robinson was an old man who retired in his corner due to heat exhaustion. Had nothing to do with being KOed or anything Maxim was doing because SRR had the fight in the bag. His old man's body just couldn't carry on. Glass Jaw Roy bottled it every time he was faced with serious pressure and he'd do the same against LaMotta whose Chin was proven to be uncrackable.

Lamotta would bring pressure in a way Roy has never seen before.. He would walk through Jones' shots and put relentless pressure on him until his fragile glass jaw breaks apart..
