The only defense being coached to him is the one two spin out, thats his number 1 form of defence. Khan cannot fight in the pocket once he comes up against a big strong welterweight who can bully him around the ring its lights out. I was a fan in his early days but the guy is a tosser now!
The interesting thing here that no one has picked up on is that freddie has got amir doing the things to beat pressure fighters (like peterson did and we anticipate garcia will). Its got amir starting the action and drawing in his opponent then either sidestep and body punch or step back and unload again. Its nice to see them thinking about how to deal with this type of fight and shows that amir is still learning. Lets see what the pudding tastes like now
Expect it of the uninitiated, but don't understand how real fans Ooh! 'n AH! over mitt work. It's show biz, like an army drill team or the Florida A&M marching band at half time.
I'm not sure how to tell if a guy's balance is bad or not. I did see him out of balance once, but not much more. How do you deter that?
When he throws, look at how he distributes body weight to remain in position to jab or let go another combination. At the beginning of the video he nearly trips over himself while doing pad work....
Yeah, I sort of see what you mean, although I didn't see the part where he nearly trips over himself. His feet just don't coordinate in line with the rest of his body. Amir's had this trait for pretty much his whole career, unfortunately. Luckily, his guard is always high, or he'd be absolutely ****ed.
