After watching the latest Roy Jones Jr fight, it got me wondering. What is the worst a former great has ever shown up looking in the ring?

Consider the performance relative to the opposition. For example, Ali was terrible vs holmes...but holmes also great. As opposed to Roy looking terrible vs relative unknowns.

So who do you have? Tyson at the end of his career? Bowe? Louis? Toney vs Lebedev?

Toney vs Lebedev was devastating. He could barely stand upright.

Fenech's punch resistance vs Philip Holiday

Honeyghan vs Breland (he wasn't even old)

I have not seen the fights but Ezzard Charles losing to some of the fighters he did in the manner he did was disgusting.

Leonard was a corpse against Camacho.

Donald Curry was non competitive against Emmett Linton

Roberto Duran was a sparring partner to William Joppy

Johnny Bumphus literally couldn't stand upright against Lloyd Honeyghan. That was nearly criminal to allow that "fight" to occur.

To be fair Toney injured his leg in that fight.

But yeah it was horrible to watch.

Tony will add another fight to this list once he 'gets paid' for fighting Adamek. James is becoming the bum of the month for the european circuit. It's sad really, he was a great fighter in his time, but unfortunately that time has been long since past. The europeans will still pay descent money to see one of their boys destroy a highly regarded american name, even if the fighter is completely shot..

Leonard vs Camacho will probably go down as the epitome of a shot fighter. Even Ali, as terrible as he was against Holmes, could still take a punch. Leonard showed nothing against Camacho. I do not fathom what prompted him to take the fight in that condition. Surely he would've been found out if he had any serious sparring.

Roy Jones has numerous fights I'd throw in for this.

Seeing him bereft of power and stamina, getting slapped into defeat by grinning featherfist windmiller Joe Calzaghe, was demeaning.

And the way the fights ended with Glen Johnson, Danny Green, and Dennis Lebedev were all nasty.

Can't think when I felt worse as a fan.

As if any of the above would've even been competitive with 90s RJJ.

Johnny 'Bump City' Bumphus getting 'blitzed' by Lloyd Honeyghan.

Then, Lou Duva screaming that 'Bump City' was hit late, and that there should be
    a rematch.

Thankfully, there was no rematch, as 'Bump City' might have been 'killed' next time.

Lou Duva, he's one funny guy.
