yeah, but in fairness to Camacho, he too was a veteran fighter at that point and past his best and fighting the bigger man as well. I say it shows just how good Camacho was to do what he did to Leonard, I think some credit is due.

    Ron Lyle,,,,,,,,

First getting blasted out by............. Lynn 'You've Got To Be Kidding' Ball.

Then coming in 'fat' and out of shape,,,,,,,,and getting 'walloped' by Gerry Cooney.

Knock it off. The middleweight Camacho couldn't knock out any top ten type fighters, let alone an ATG fighter. He was no puncher. Leonard was TOTALLY SHOT. Even if Ray was at 50% he'd still go the distance with Camacho. The fact that Leonard got stopped showed just how far gone he was. Agree with the many folks that this was amongst the worst performances ever by a shot fighter. Keep in mind, though, Leonard had not fought in six years, and was 40 years old for goodness sakes.

But De la Hoya made up for it by giving Camacho a huge ass beating in his next fight, the worst of his career. Got to give it to Camacho, he could take a punch and he knew how to survive. But he gets zero credit for beating this version of Ray Leonard.

I think it was Ray Leonard who chose to come back against Hector Camacho.

As he said in the 'pre-fight press conference',

'This is a fight, all of America wanted 10 years ago. Nothing has changed, just the
age on my drivers license. I'm still fast and strong, and in the best shape of my life.'

Has a fighter ever looked as faded compared to his former self as Jones Jnr?

He was shot against Glen Johnson, cooked against Joe Calzaghe, toasted against Danny Green, road kill against Bernard Hopkins and he's gotten worse lately.

The term hasn't been come up with to describe just how bad Jones now looks. His fight the other day was one of the saddest things I've seen this side of Ali-Holmes and that was in a "win".

The most athletically gifted fighter of all time is now completely bereft of the legs, reflexes, handspeed and confidence that made him so special.

It's completely ****ed that he's still fighting.

Old Shavers against Brian Yates comes to mind. Yates had close to the worst credentials in the sport's history.

Another bad one not mentioned was the comebacking Arguello against Scott Walker. It was a terrible sight to see Alexis so clearly outboxed by an opponent wearing pink trunks and doing anything he wanted in there.

34-years-old Ray Robinson looked awful against unranked 1-to-8 underdog Ralph Jones, losing a shutout decision (although I've only seen short HLs of the fight).

Good shout, remember that one well, he was awful, although Breland was great. It was made all the worse by his actions before the bell, made himself look a right dick when he got battered. Poor Lloyd.

    Bob Foster versus Mustafa Wassaja,,,,,,,,,,,,,

    February 9, 1978 (Copenhagen, Denmark)

    A 'pathetic' non-effort in a scheduled 8-Round bout.

    Versus - Mustafa Wassaja 8-0-1 (3 KO's), a Ugandan who couldn't punch.

    Later Foster was overheard saying,
    * 'I was 'only' here for the money, so they can put my name on Wassaja's record'.
    * 'I had no intention of trying to win, as the promoter (Mogens Palle) paid me $40,000.... 'not to win'.

Ali in the Holmes bout. He was nothing more than a punching bag. I seriously don't remember Ali throwing any punches.
