What good is the in fighting if your punches are muffs on the inside and have no concussiveness what so ever. Whenever an opponent of Ward has a cut, or swelling, it is never from Ward's punches. Always from his head or elbows.

Hopkins still now would give enormous problems to Ward inside and Floyd would simply slip, slide and score everytime there with him.

Bull****. You need to maybe watch more slowmo. His left hooks from a short distance are a thing of beauty. And he likes to counter with it, pretty scary from a fighter who presses the action.

Matthysse or however its spelled has a way better inside game and personally the way juanma and salido salido scrapped on the inside showed really what the kan do there. I still say if juanma koulda hid that damn chin for a round the docs woulda stopped the fight salidos eyes looked bad.

Eh hes more of a mid range an xontrol the distance. In fightin is not all the since he really doesnt pressure. To me staying in the pocket=/=in fighting imo
an in fighter to me is someone like mathhysse , chavez jr. its really a lost art in todays boxing scene. Arce and the rican woulda been a scrap for the ages on the inside imo.

    :good

In terms of today, Floyd, Hopkins, and Marquez are all comparably skilled on the inside, but I have to say, Ward seems to be the more dynamic aggressor on the inside out of all of them for sure.

Yeah, Moreno does have some slick ass defense on the inside, but he doesn't really prefer to fight there. . .

Matthysse for me isn't really an inside fighter, he's best from mid-range, like most punchers are.

Chavez Jr. is one of hte better infighters today, at least at MW where he's a ****ing BULL.

But technique wise, and skill wise, Floyd compares to him, but Ward is better on the inside, IMO. . .
