How can we discredit Rigo when he has nothing significant to credit. I like Rigo as a boxer I really do but I don't make **** up on forums when the accomplishments are just not there. I don't believe in hyping a boxer until he proves himself. He is destined for greatness I do believe that but saying **** like he's being avoided as a comeback when people saying he hasn't fought anyone is just plain stupid. It shows your ignorance. It takes both parties to come to agreement on a fight and if the money is right and you don't overprice yourself a match can happen.

Just explain to me why he's calling for a fight and no big name wants his belt?
Why nobody is willing to be on PAC or Chavez jr undercard? Why was only teon Kennedy available? Why the rumors are he's fighting a 22 yrs old kid next?
Martinez vs jr ppv will be big, still nobody is willing to seize the opportunity.
He's been avoided and we all know it.
I understand maybe Arum want the big showdown with Nonito but...where's everybody else?
There was a time boxers wanted to fight and defeat the champ.

never said he was an accomplished pro, im saying mathebula is no big name either. the guys relatively unknown outside of hardcore boxing fans, hes only fought outside south africa once in his whole career. most of his wins are over goat herders.

my point is if your gonna fight a "nobody" why not fight the nobody everyone wants to see. and if its about belts rigo got one of those too.

Rigo changed up his style and starting to put damaging power behind his punches. have you seen the severe pain on his opponents faces?
torture isnt the word they are in so much pain writhering on the floor its sickening. when he shoots to the body. its like he lets off a grenade!!

No matter how much the cuban fan boys like to spin it. Mathebula is still a better opponent than Teon Kennedy or Casey. Yes, Nonito gets deducted a few points for fighting smaller boxers. But they are still better than Teon Kennedy or Casey. Narvaez is better than Ramos! I would have given Rigo credit if he beat Mathebula instead of that boxer he fought last month.

Rigo's wins over Cordoba and Ramos put him ahead of Donaire at the weight. Mathebula isn't enough to beat those imo. P4P it ain't even close but at 122 Rigo should still be #2 as Cordoba+Ramos > Vazquez+Mathebula.

I agree with you except for the fact that you mention he's fighting smaller boxers. He is not...he is fighting shorter boxers yes certainly but not smaller boxers. Narvaez was the only one you could make a case for as being smaller as he had never fought at bantam before, yes he was only interested in surviving not fighting but yes he is light years ahead of ramos. This was more a bad pick of his promoter/managers.

Like it or not Mathebula is ranked in the top 10 and a belt holder, the top 3 guys (Nishioka,Rigondeaux,Donaire should only be fighting guys in the top 10 or each other. I give Rigondeaux a little leeway as he has only had 10 professional fights but still he is older and needs to fight more or step up his competiton.)

As long as Rigo doesnt jump ship to GB I believe eventually these 2 will fight. So leave all the justifications and excuses aside until these fighters prove otherwise. Do you really think that these fighters are scared of each other, its promoters and managers protecting their investment.

of course he's not a household name, I've watched tape of him yes hes pretty decent but his lack of pop in his punches will not sway donaire from putting it to him. He will have to box his ass off to have a shot at winning more than 2 rounds.

    Caballero-Mathebula happened at 122 and Caballero-Litzau happened at 130.

While you're at it, why not let Rigo fight Litzau then...

For now, Rigo calling out Donaire won't give positive result.

I say let Rigo build up his name some more, let Rigo fight the winner of Vazquez Jr. vs. Rafa.
