As has been stated, there were no laws with which to prosecute Jones, hence significant action could not be taken. Stop using 'the media' to try and excuse everything. As an American, do you believe everything that is reported in the media? Surely you know better than that? You sound more and more ridiculous every time you mention a couple of reports about andro. There is no proof that Jones took ripped fuel, or tested positive for andro. I can see it, you can see it, Stevie Wonder can see it!

Note that Shane Mosley also took and passed other tests in his career, which tells you how conclusive your argument is

Fanboys like yourself kill any kind of objective discussion on these boards. You simply get upset when others have different opinions to you about your favourite fighters, it's quite sad really.

ok, so by your thinking we shouldn't believe jones ever tested positive in the first place. again you just believe what reports you want to believe to fit your agenda. yes mosley had negative tests as well but he was proven (if you believe the reports) to be on the cream and the clear which were made to beat testing. you talking about objective discussion is comical. having opinions on a fighter is one thing but making up **** like you and your boys' pilot program busting jones is something completely different. of course i'm going to call you on your bull****.

I don't see anyone from 160(dare I say as low as 154?) -175 beating him.
Did he always have a glass jaw? I don't think anyone was fast enough to find out. His toughest compotion at any weight would have been Ezzard Charles from 160-175. I also think he could have won a championship at 154 before winning the IBF middleweight championship, which would have made him a 5 weight class champion.

I don't think there's many fighters that could beat Roy at his best, inbetween those weights. But I don't think Roy could have won a title at 154. He had the talent, but he was too big at the weight. He only had a handful of fights around that weight. He was always pushing close to 160, even in his first year as a pro.

If he'd have fought at cruiser, either before Ruiz, or on the way back for Tarver, he could have been a 5 weight champ. But at the time, he never gave it a seconds thought. This whole cruiser weight quest that he's got at the moment, is just an excuse to prolong his career.

Other posters simply ignored the main facts posted by the afore mentioned posters and instead decided to insult them and claim that they are all alts of each other.

This was one of the most one sided beat downs I have witnessed on ESB and it's sad that steroid apologists and RJJ nut huggers will continue to deny the truth while pleasuring themselves over footage of Roy Jones Jr juiced to the eyeballs embarrassing some part time cop who shouldn't be in the same ring as someone who is being claimed as the GOAT by some posters.

SO glad we have boards like this though, so many of my memories of sport were left without even a conversation when sitting up to watch Leonard, Hagler and Tyson fight on early mornings with my Dad. Now we get every angle and thought, not just Jim Watts ramblings.

 

Even if you were an RJJ nuthugger, why would you want to watch the Toney fight? It was a snoozfest.
