I did not say they were friendly. Where did you get that from? I'm telling you not only am I aware of their relationship or situation, we had those guys on simultaneously before most of that really came to light.

    Being skeptical is healthy.

how did Gabe "out three black fighters"? he didnt out anyone. just because he is in close with VADA and they let him be the first reporter to "break" the story, doesnt mean he "outed" anybody. the test results were in, they failed. Gabe did NOTHING to help catch them.

Its kinda curious how he gets these leaks that raised his profile on the subject and then he goes on to write articles discrediting USADA and Promoting VADA. :think Some people act like Gabe was the one who personally administrated the test:bart

    Montoya, this is for you.

i have a question. a serious one. in the 2009/2010 negotiations, Montoya, you praised Pacquiao for not taking random tests.

"...what Manny is doing in refusing to be put under new, never before seen scrutiny is commendable"

earlier in that editorial you stated you were "a bit on the fence" about Mannys reluctance to take the test. your reason for commending manny on his decision NOT to take the test was fine by me, claiming

"He put Manny in a position where the only thing he could do is look guilty."

thats fine. my question is, in may, victor conte claimed VADA offered their services to issue tests for the Pac Bradley fight. Bradley said he is ok with it, but Manny refused. I'm just wondering why you never let us know about that. Were you aware of this?

I know you say cleaning up the sport and "safety of fighters" is your number one priority, so im just curious as to why you dont put more pressure on Pacquiao to set a positive example. And im not referring to a fight with Floyd. I just mean in ANY of his fights.

Manny has said he will submit to the testing to get the Floyd fight but he isn't going to submit to the possibility of having blood taken on his ring walk if he doesn't have to. This one is simple.

You reckon they'd run up and try to "stick" the PAC Monster on his way to the ring? :scaredas:

But I suppose the possibility is open. :think

I'm sure they'd spare his arm and take it from his eyeball though.:D

People keep telling me that random means random so you can't rule it out. Lance Armstrong was detained on the way to the delivery room and forced to test FFS. Tell me USADA doesn't have their own agenda. :rofl

Montoya wont admit it, and he shouldnt, but i believe his "source" is Victor Conte. Conte has had a grudge against USADA from the start. Conte also happens to be a "spokes person" for VADA. Montoya is also close with Margarett Goodman, the president of VADA, so its no wonder he broke the stories. I've read alot of his work and he writes well. Although I understand we all have a little bit of bias, i just think he could be a little more neutral.

Heres an example. in his article "Floyd Mayweather and the new wave of drug testing in boxing"
    http://www.maxboxing.com/news/max-b...er-and-the-new-wave-of-drug-testing-in-boxing

which was well written, he first begins by questioning USADA as the most effective testing organization. He does this by quoting Conte on the effects of CIR testing, which is used to detect synthetic testosterone. He not only mentions that VADA uses the CIR test, but implies USADA may not. He compares the cost of the two and leads the reader to wonder which testing is more cost effective and more advanced.

    SO far SO GOOD.

then he goes into detail about Don Hale, who has access to synthetic testosterone, and connects him to Floyd Mayweather. That is all true. still ok. but the order in which he writes the article, the sequence, leads the reader down a path, which raises doubt and suspicion as to whether MAYBE floyd is using the services of USADA because he gets synthetic testosterone from Don Hale.

this is speculation, but very well written, and i enjoyed it. i really did. i love speculation and raising doubt myself. so i will follow with a little bit of my own mr montoya, and i hope your write a similar article, more in depth, about it.

Pacquiao is trained by freddie roach. we all know that. Roach in the past admitted to TWO of his fighters using steroids. James Toney, who roach trained BOTH times he was caught, and ******e Fortune. heres where it gets interesting. ****** Fortune, just happened to be Pacquiaos previous strength and conditioning coach, prior to Alex Ariza. Roach in 2009 said "i have a high school diploma, i now nothing about steroids", but we KNOW that isnt true, because of his past with the aforementioned fighters. So roach has a history with steroids, pacquiaos previous strength coach has a history with steroids, so thats an interesting piece of history right there. alone it means nothing. but lets look at the leg cramps. Roach trains Pacquiao AND Chavez Jr., and both have been having problems with leg cramps. Steroids cause people to lose increased amounts of potassium, which can lead to leg cramps. Pacquiao has refused to take random tests and Chavez jr has had mystery surrounding testing for his last two fights. and freddie roach is always present.

all im sayin, is if you are going to be a writer who implies things or plays "connect the dots" with circumstantial "evidence", then id be interested to see how well you put an article together questioning all of these connections i just pointed out.
