Going to purse bid would make it much easier. Nothing to negotiate. Just have to decide how much you think the fight is worth during the bid.
WBC and GBP are eliminating all potential Canelo opponents. They will order Kirkland vs this winner of this fight next...all while Canelo fights welterweights.
I really don't know much about him but ya gotta wonder why the WBC won't put in writing that a 'final eliminator' doesn't mean 'final eliminator' and guarantee a title shot. The only curious thing about this is that the 'final eliminator' isn't between two Mexicans.
That's about the best way to avoid 2 fighters. The WBC would consider guys like Acelino Freitas to be a Canelo opponent, but when it comes to a legit challenger, you can forget it. Even if they go through this eliminator, they're still not guaranteed a shot. Corruption at the core to protect Canelo. F*ck Golden Boy and the WBC.
Poor Vanes. No way to shed his reputation of avoiding top fighters in his division except to step in with one (and get thrashed by one).

I think that the alphabet title associations are getting so bad and ridiculous that even the casual fans will start to ignore them which is good. I only think about match ups and ring ratings at the moment. Ring ratings are flawed as you have fighters like Canelo and Cotto that never fought anyone in the top 10 being number 1 and 2 but it's still way better than all the other crap around.
