Most don't appreciate Arum's skills. He's driving the wedge in between GBP and HBO here. He's also driving a wedge in between Espinoza/Showtime/Shareholders.

Espinoza turned down Garcia v Salido because he is butt-hurt. Showtime boxing is going to sh1t.

Kind of sad. They really started making a 'run' thinking they could piggy back off of Jermain Taylor. That didn't work but did lead to the tourney. Then they blew Froch/Bute thinking they could force Bute/Ward but Bute was tired on waiting for the tourney to finish and went ahead with Froch. (Of course HBO missed that one too)

    THis is stupid. .

Arum is right in this situation. . . They had the tentative date in place months before Golden Boy said Canelo would be on Sep. 15th.

How ****ing hard is it for Showtime to simply move Canelo's fight back a few weeks?

Im sure there's venues everywhere in SoCal, Texas, or Nevada who would LOVE to pick this fight up.

This can't be true. . . THey would be excluding themselves of making so many great fights if they banned TR, Lewko, and Dibella: They all have some solid ass stables.

Arum is just alerting the world that Show reneged on a good fight out of spite. He's hoping Espenoza's carpet burns will make him easier to work with in the future.

When there is two buyers, who can buy anything, not just the type of product you are selling, and about 10 sellers who just have one kind of product to sell, if you are one of those seller, then you shut the f up and accept the rules that you are not making until you change the leverage.

This dual PPV shows reminds me of Holyfield vs Bowe, and Tyson vs. "dont remember name" years ago, on the same night in Vegas, on 2 different networks.

Luckily, Tyson's fight was cancelled cause of an injury.

Why would he move when GBP doesn't even have an opponent? and any fight outside of Mayweather/Canelo isn't as big as Chavez/Martinez.

I'm not normally one to side with Top Rank, but Arum is right this time. Showtime is being ****ing stupid here. Alvarez doesn't even have an opponent and HBO has a big fight the same night featuring a fellow Mexican. The fact that Showtime is even considering that date demonstrates what an egotistical mess this all is.

But of course this ultimately is TR vs GBP, not TR vs. Showtime.
