As we know, by the strict interpretation of the rules, they were illegal pads. No question about that. I think Arum wanted to do damage control to back up Cappitio's story but was denied the opportunity. People have staked out positions and based Margo's whole career on this incident. They refuse to believe that he wasn't 'loaded' in the first Cotto fight in spite of the fact the Nevada commission does things very differently. EVERYTHING that goes on your hand comes in a sealed bag. Period. As much as I like Cotto I can't say the second fight would have gone any different if Pac hadn't given Cotto a damaged eye to target. Margo was starting to step up and Cotto was starting to slow down. Take away the pre-damaged eye and who knows how that fight would have gone.

 

if you actually think schaefer is a saint, i cannot force you to change your mind. just watch more and see how he turns out to be another arum but worst.

That doesn't even make sense. It's not like they called off the fight, which would have cost money, hence making them more susceptible to going after a conviction no matter what, which is what you're eluding to. The fight continued and so did the case.

Cases are thrown out all the time due to insufficient evidence. In this case, there was obviously enough to make a serious ruling, banning one person for life, and the other being suspended and having his license revoked.
