 Caba's chin is one of his main strengths. . .

Mathebula has been KO'd . . But it was almost a decade ago.

I do agree that tall skinny guys are a potential "hillariously awkward KO waiting to happen." Donaire has the power, and skill to do it. . .

I'd like to see Donaire match Pacquiao when Manny won the 122 lbs championship by

destroying anothe South African, Lebwaba inside the 6th stanza. But this Mathebula is a tall order to beat.

Donaire needs to show power this saturday and deposit the South African kid on the canvass to make a case

as him being a key player in this division. In other words he has to make a statement.

Donaire has already matched Pacquiao's lighter weight achievements IMO. It's what he does next against Mares, Rigo, etc. that will really tell the story.

It's easy to say now. Noone wanted him at 122. He seems to use height to max advantage, so not as effective at higher weight. Litzau is a scrub, but pretty big and Caba can't punch at 130

Oh his height and reach can present problems to guys with no footwork, but Donaire isn't Ndlovu. Donaire won't be stuck outside, unable to get inside. Mathebula better have a chin otherwise it will be a short night.

I don't know, has Donaire ever done work on the inside? I can't seem to recall him proving that he is effective on the inside. . . But he arguably has the best "read and react", and timing ability in the game. . . He also has crazy fast feet. . So if he can keep the fight where he wants ti, I agree, he should be able to catch Mathebula with a surgical precision shot, and turn the lights out.

I just think it's very interesting, because Mathebula is a TRUE, big 122 pounder, and Donaire's power really isn't as devastating as it was at lower weights. . Couple that with the height, and style Donaire hasn't seen, could be interesting. . .

Donaire will win comfortably. This will be an easier fight than his last.

As already mentioned, Mathebula gives up his height so it doesn't really matter. He's also going to be wide open for Donaire's left all night.

more complex then that. . tall pugs still can utilize their rangy limbs despite not fighting off the back foot.
