GTSK is VecArrow's fake ******* alt if you haven't caught on. Proof is in the polls as he votes like all other *****s.

Barrera doesn't appear on the 2003 P4P list because that was selected by The Ring in May 2004 after Pac brutalized Barrera.

In the 2002 P4P list selected by The Ring in May 2003, 6 months before the Pacquiao fight, Barrera was P4P #3 and Lineal champ at Featherweight.

:dead Why are you using ring p4p ratings when I was talkng about my own p4p list? Sorry you wasted your time researching all that. I had Manny at #1, Barrera#2, Morales #3, Marquez#4 and Nonito at #5. So again how was he past prime?

The scary option and some are totally ****ing oblivious to the fact.

That Prime versions of either Dela Hoya or Trinidad would whoop Floyds ass.

I mean we only see Floyd just get past a OLD version of ODH and even that could be debated the fight could have gone Oscar's way.

Trinidad in his Welterweight Prime would put hurt on a 147 Floyd Mayweather and thats a fact.

He is the undefeated champ of a era that has had not much talent lets face it.

If you were to really look at it if Floyd was born 8 years earlier he would have had to contend with

The 90's era of fighters like

    130 Azumah Nelson
    135 Shane Mosley
    140 Oscar Dela Hoya
    140 Julio C Chavez
    140 Kostya Tszyu
    147 Felix Trinidad
    147 Pernell Whitaker
    147 Ike Quartey

Floyd was just lucky he came in a ERA were all these guys were at the end. If he was his weight around the 90's he would be ****ed dealing with all them guys.

Same goes to for Pac but the fact Pac came through in an era that had Barrera, Morales and Marquez and he fought all of them a decent amount of times.

His legacy looks far superior because of this fact.

BBall im not saying i purely hate Mayweather I just think his resume and legacy reminds me and compares to Calzaghe.

He had great wins and when he faced all those HOF's to win they were past there best.

And i will say this compared to some other haters.

I believe which is frustrating Floyd has and had more so the skills to put some hurt on people but took easier options and never really fulfilled his true destiny.
I mean the one fight that made me think why doesnt PBF fight like that all the time was the Gatti fight.

I realize Gatti's style makes a difference but he was so offensive minded that night with killer instinct why didnt he do that in fights like
    Baldomir, Judah, Marquez, Mosley, Cotto.

It just frustrates me that he has this talent but only lets you see half of it some nights.:deal

Now would a normal Pac fan say what i just said Hell No. But im a real fan.

I understand your frustrations, but think about this. Floyd wanted to punish Gatti because that was his first PPV fight (I think) and he wanted to make the most of the opportunity. He was also a lot more aggressive back then -- see the Corrales, Ndo and Mitchell fights.

If you want to call Floyd out for Baldomir, no defense. Floyd didn't want to get hit with a big shot. He was smashing Baldomir and should have tried to put him down.

I think he would have put Judah down if not for the low blow. He completely dominated Marquez and Mosely. I don't know how much more you can ask for. If you want a KO on those two, look at their records and see how uncommon that is.

I went back over the Cotto fight recently. Floyd dominated that one too. Looking closely Floyd really didn't get tagged as much as I thought he did at first viewing. I don't think Floyd fights as well at 154. Small sample size and great opponents may be the cause, but comparably his two fights at 154 were arguably his toughest.

All that being said, Floyd excels at technical boxing. He is not a bruiser, a KO artist and his fights at current competition will never look like Gatti-Ward or Pac-Margo. What you will see is a combination of boxing skill, defense and versatility that may be unparalleled in history. You can blame it on his competition, but essentially Floyd is more dominant at his sport as Jordan, Woods, and Federer were at theirs (maybe Phelps ties him).

Expecting Floyd to just change his style and become more of a slugger (which as you note he can probably do with some success) is like wanting a football team that get's seven yards everytime they run the ball to pass. Their goal is to win the game. They may be able to air it out, but they get a first down every two plays and can wind the clock and keep the ball from the other team's offense. It's not as flashy as the Saints from two years ago, but it gets the job done everytime without fail and the team dominates every game and wins by 3 touchdowns.
