It's not a question of us & them its about blokes like yourself not knowing your arse from your elbow sounding off like a braggart about things you have zero knowledge about , now I'm sure you're a tidy enough chap so listen to my advice , please shut the **** up when you know zip about the subject

By the way, i'll join in just for the laughs, there are NO Australian fighters in history better than Joe Calzaghe, and considering you lot gave the world Anthony Mundine, Danny Green, and the rest of your ****ing circus lot you really need to think twice before calling out any other nation's fighters.

Get your own house in order before criticizing others.

Calzaghe had NOTHING to gain fighting froch back at that time. totally agree. But Im not a fan of froch and would have loved to see his career derailed by Joe. Joe would have kicked his ass.

There were better fights out there for Joe though than the contender winner, thats for sure though! Hate to say it but even a fight with Mundine would have been better than that one... Anyone know how much Joe got for that fight??

considering they put 70,000 in the millenium i'd guess he got shitloads for it.

Mundine would have been better than Manfrede but he'd of never taken it as he was too busy getting knocked spark out by Sven Ottke

They are all far better than Calzaghe. Green and Harding and Briggs also KO him.

Also Famechon, Rose, Jackson, Fitzsimmons, Hector Thompson, Griffo, Carruthers, far better than any British fighter with the exception of Kid Berg and Lennox Blewis (Blewis is a Canadian fighter since he was schooled in Canada, like Fitzsimmons was schooled in Australia.

there never seems to be much common ground when discussing joe, he either gets massively underrated or overrated.

Patriotism is an admirable quality, it;s not a way of like, unless you want to come across as close minded. Some here are taking it a bit far.

If Mundine had fought Joe at his peak, he would have maybe given him a few scares early on with his speed and then Joe would have figured him out . . .KO 8 I reckon. Would have to quicker than Ottke's KO

I side on the 'good with a questionable career" peeps.

IMO a guy like Marquez goes down as 'greater' even for all his defeats simply because you cannot question his career based on the quality of his cv. He's a truly talented champ who showed his strengths even in a loss and has very few 'what if he fought xxxx at xxxx'.

Too many 'I wish he fought xxxx' for Joe.
