I don't think so, I think he was held back by TR. Finally TR is giving him decent fights.

 

Jeffrey Mathebula is not someone that a promoter would put his "protected fighter" against.. Donaire is trying to unify the division and Mathebula has one of the titles.. It was either him or Mijares, and I think he made the right choice..

Look, Donaire is already in his fourth weight class, and is fighting another champion to booth. Plus in the previous 2 divisions he's been in, he brutally knocked out the guys considered at number 1.

One more thing about Donaire not fighting without his size advantage, boxing is fought with weight class, not height class. And to think the guy he is fighting is taller than him.
