Mayorga Signing Contract to Fight Canelo 9/15

So is it fine for someone like broner to do this as well?

Many are comparing him to the next Floyd.

 

Before he fights FMJ or Cotto, wouldn't it make sense to beat a top ten super welter, other than Ryan Rhodes? Seems like everyone would benefit.

 

Mosley was up on two of scorecards and the 3rd card had mayorga up by 1 pt by the time the fight was stopped. :think

I mean he is fighting Escobedo next, Not exactly a huge threat.

Next Floyd is pushing it tho & disrespect to Mayweather to be honest.

A good fight for Mayorga nowadays is going the distance and not letting his opponents take free shots at him...

 

I thought it was respectable fighting Williams or Kirkland but it didnt work out. They had a plan to showcase his firat PPV and so they needed to do something drastic to salvage the event. Mayorga is the right move imo. He'll step up vs a top 10 before Cotto or Floyd im sure. Id rather see Mayweather fight a tune-up like Guerrero or Khan and then Martinez and retire. Canelo does nothing for Floyds legacy.

 

I guess its the last weak opponent for Canelo. 2013 he have to take the dangerous guys like Lara,Trout and maybe we get the ODLH tournement ! Lets hope so
