Brook would have been ko'd if jones punches were clean he was shown up tonight he hasn't got the grit to beat the best he ran for a lot of tonights fight and ingle didnt seem much use either he seemed to be panicking a lot and he kept telling brook it was all about the first 6 rounds which was a bit naieve for a trainer of his experience and caliber

Kell was gone at the end. Another 30 seconds he would have been on the the floor.

He was knackered (same as Jones) but he wasn't out on his feet. Jones hadn't stopped him in the previous 4000 odd seconds of the fight and I don't think he was likely to stop him in those 5 seconds that the ref jumped in for (that was Jones fault BTW).

What was shown up tonight was that Brook has no inside game. Just holding on for dear life.

:huh He looked like that at many points but got through it what would the last 30 seconds have changed? Just because a fighter is tired doesn't mean they are gone :patsch

U obviously didn't see how badly kell was hurt at the end. A couple of clean shots would have had him. He was so gone he didn't even put his hand up at the end saying he won like he usually does. Carson jones exposed his lack of inside game tonight. Just holding, pulling neck down, tying up & head locking.

After the 5th round where Brook had Jones hurt and then ran away I wanted Jones to smash him. He had very slow hands though, if brook was in with somebody with semi-decent handspeed(nothing special just decent) he would have gone

Just cant understand why he backed off in the 5th. Not sur ehe has the minerals tbh

He wasn't that gone at all it was as much tiredness as anything and Jones applying pressure onto him that forced him to sag. Neither of them put there hands up saying they won at the end because they were both exhausted after a grueling fight. It is easy to say oh Kell would have got stopped after a couple more seconds, but the matter of fact is he didn't and if Jones was going to stop him he had plenty of opportunities to do so.

Kell was like the opposite to felix sturm after 4 rnds, he would start the 1st 90 secs of the round good but then faded n absorbed too much pressure. Thought he showed some grit.tonight tho after a nasty nose injury to dig in.

He got through a tough fight. No need for overreacting.

Some very harsh comments on here tonight.

It was a great watch, I predicted Brook to win by a controversial hometown decision but I thought Brook won, it was not a robbery.

Alot of people really understimated Jones, I was surprised how many people thought Brook would walk straight through him. that was never going to happen in my opinion.

Brook should learn alot from that and maybe the hype surrounding him calms down abit.

Anyway in response to the OP... I didn't think Brook was exposed and I wouldn't be brave enough to write off his chances of winning a world title at some point.

The reason he's getting criticised is cos he just got hell from a guy who not a single pundit give a chance to, whose lost 8 times & has done nothing on the world stage. Nobody expected brook to have trouble tonight but he was given absoloutely hell.

kell brook is good. but a good intelligent pressure fighter who hits hard is a bastrd to beat!

a guy like margarito for example at welterweight was a champion for a reason.

what kell needs to do is either get fitter (not sure he can do that) or learn to fight these guys some how. kell holds his hands ala james toney. he should watch more of his fights against come forward pressure fighters who could bang and had skill.

brook should be happy that fight was not 15 rounds cos the pipe had busted and he was ready to go.
