I don't know. . It was about the same for me. . . I had Vazquez winning 3, or 4 rounds. . but I think Donaire performed about the same in both fights. . He gave Vazquez a few rounds because he wasn't active enough. . . While his power is still devastating, it's not AS devastating as it was against smaller guys.

mathebula wasn't as gun shy as Vazquez, and I thought clearly hit Donaire with much harder shots tahn Vazquez hit him with. . .

But it was close enough. . .

That is because Donaire is a little over rated. This isn't the first time that Donaire has had a limited opponent in front of him, and looked lack luster.

According to your logic Rossenblum and Pep would have never won a fight :scaredas:

I think most would agree this is the dumbest that Donaire has ever fought in strategic terms.

Low work rate, just leaping in with left hooks...

I'd grade Donaire a C- compared to his usual self.

    Still deserved a wide UD.

I think it's about time for Donaire to realize that he can't simply bully 122 fighters like he did at fly and bantam. Robert Garcia is all wrong for him. He is way too skilled to not use combinations. Instead, he thinks he can one-punch KO anybody.

How do you get 114-114 in a fight with one knockdown in it?

But vazquez's jab was harder, and more authoritative than Mathebula's. . Donaire eats a lot of jabs either way, power on them notwithstanding. . .

But Mathebula got Donaire with some hooks, and straight right hands (while not nearly as authoritative as Donaire's power shots landed), they were still the most he's even been hit before.

Mathebula is awkward. Terrible balance but maybe on purpose kinda like Augustus? Alot of the time he looked drunk.

You obviously favor slick good looking punches over effective punches. It's a choice. :D

He has **** balance, punches don't follow through, no power and again no power.

If Donaire fought a smarter fight this wouldn't have gone 3 rounds.

119-108 was off by 2 rounds.

I think they said that was the South African's card too.
