Forrest Griffin went down with something similar when they fought. I think Chael was pretty much done before that shot though.
I'd love to know how much psi Silva punches with; every fighter he connects his fist with, no matter how clean the punch, always seems unable to do anything but turtle up. Yushin Okami was the same, got caught with one punch and it was instant defence mode until the referee stopped the fight.
I dont know. Silva has a bend but not break guard. Hes very good at tying you up. But you would think Jones with Jackson can stick to a gameplan. Silva is the best striker ever in MMA and it boggles my mind why people such as Hendo and Sonnen would take their chances. Ok in this fight, Silva adjusted very well for the takedown but Chael had him pinned against the cage ala Hendo and Randy and He could have just worked from there. The man decided to disengage and trade.
Its an all risk no reward fight for Dana and the UFC. I don't think they want the stigma of actually going backwards in the talent level of successive generations of champions. Expect GSP-Silva before Jones-Silva.
