No slight to Rosinsky. He's a game kid. But even Kelly eluded to the fact that its going to take more than what he did to beat the big boys.

Kelly looked sluggish. There was no sense of urgency; no spring in his step. No sense that he wanted to get this kid out of there. Rosinsky should not have seen the final bell.

Not quite sure where Pavlik's jab went. He is pushing his right. Its not the frozen cable it was in the past. He's never been hard to find but he just doesnt seem to have the same energy in there. Rosinsky has pop but Pav is lucky the kid can't crack with the best of them.

He still has his chin and his stamina and i will say that the left look/has been looking good and did seem to take some of the starch out of Rosisnsky in the later rounds.

But its going to take a hell of a lot more than that to beat the top tier in the division. Kelly and Robert better find that 1-2 quick b/c that was one of things Kelly used to do well and I'm not seeing it.

He ain't beatin' the best out there w/o more :deal

He needs more time. He looked a lot better then he did against Lopez. Had it been the same Pavlik then he (Pavlik) might have lost to Rosinsky.

One thing I did notice in Pavlik's game that changed was his habit to spring back the right hand after he threw it... I always hated that.

Kelly seems happy working with the Garcia camp & the conditioning looks alot better than before. He is as ready as he can be @ this point bring 'em on.

Kelly always impressed me with his control of space and distance. He's certainly not jabbing like he should, which always ended up freezing his opp for some big game changing rights.

I wanna hear from BooRadley. :yep

yeah he did look better than the lopez fight. i just don't see any urgency. Rosisnky was moving a lot but also had his back to the ropes a lot as well and Kelly didnt seem to be able to pull the trigger.

that's a good way to put it. i think that's basically what kelly has been saying...that he's as ready as he's going to be at this point.

and it's not like he can't fix what he wasnt doing. you have a jab...start throwing it again. you made your name with a sharp 1-2...start throwing it again. he and robert seem to work well together so we'll see what they can do.

With Rosinski size and reach his only real chances were inside, and for whatever reasons that's exactly where Kelly wants to go.

Whatever's said about Will though, he could move FAST. Simon did the same **** ducking real low quickly, but that shows me Kelly is just loading up and not setting **** up with his jab.

i know, right? he has certainly improved on his left...especially the left to the body which clearly was working as intended. but the thing is that punch gets thrown only rosisnky gets in close...past the jabs that werent thrown.

Rosisnsky is a game kid for sure and he fought a great fight. he was moving so much that he didnt even have time to sit down on any of his punches. kelly clearly won but he should have gotten him out of there.

    :good

Well bro, we've sure as hell been through some tougher times than this, so I suppose I'll remain optimistic.

Need to get the jab going though.

Name one fighter at any level that is better off abandoning his jab.....

Jeez. Excuse typos, I'm on the phone this second and autocorrect or something is messin my **** all up.

and that's not asking too much either. you have a great jab. now use it. i'm sure they'll realize that once they watch the tapes.

Pavlik has looked muck for years. Fair play to you for having the honesty to admit it, most Pavlik fans delude themselves into thinking he's not completely shot.

He needs to double on the ****ing jab ;)

But yeah Pavlik fought too much in the pocket by his own design which why he was getting tagged throughout, he should only fight in the pocket if he simply has no choice, if uses his jab then he wins easier.

IMO, both Sigmon and Will were doing the same things....moving fast and ducking low making Kelly miss big loaded up shots and that's likely why Kelly was so content to come inside where he could touch em atleast.

He has GOT to get back to his basics.

All that said though, all my bitching, Coach Garcia absolutely is keeping Kelly in the gym and in shape.
