With every Wlad knockout does Haye's performance look better?

Klitschko was unable to load up on his shots because Haye was too petrified to trade, he was like one of those annoying flies that are hard to swat. Wladimir adapted and settled for the points win. There's no way Haye would have taken the shots that knocked Thompson out.

 

I think it just shows how slow, stiff, immobile and defensively inept Wlad's opponents are. The only fighter to make himself hard to hit in recent years was Haye and despite having a genuine glass chin, Wlad wasn't able to hurt him once because he couldn't catch him flush once in 12 rounds.

Are we supposed to be impressed when a big puncher knocks out a guy who is stood right in front of him and is insanely easy to hit? Please.

Any fighter who can show some defensive ability against Wlad will be standing when the final bell rings.

 

Huge difference in Defense and outright running and flopping like Haye was doing. Did those guys that went the Distance with 80's Tyson show good Defense too? Hell no they ran or clinched the whole fight.

What Haye was doing isn't Defense. Sorry.

No you've got it all wrong. Wlad is just a bad style match-up for Haye because he is SO cautious, which Haye also is. Wlad constantly stayed just at the end of his range, thumping that jab, but was ready at a seconds notice to move back away from Haye's shots. Wlad did simply what he needed to do to win, he didn't get stupid and he stayed tight the entire 12 rounds, it was actually Haye who had to gamble (But not enough). To beat Wlad Haye needs to work on his inside game, it's as simple as that.

 

Chisora showed better defence against Vitali than Haye did against Wlad.

Running isn't defending.

 

It was an awful fight but Haye is scared to engage as we saw against the slow plodding Valuev which the Brits on here claimed Haye wasn't running but "Boxing beautifully off the back foot" :roflatsch

Haye is a runner and just looks to survive the distance. That isn't defense. Period.

 

Wlad threw just as many punches against Haye as he always does. Haye was rarely out of reach for Wlad, he just showed him movement and Wlad couldn't deal with it.

Haye was stood right in front of Wlad on many occasions during the fight. He was even mocking him at a couple of points because Wlad was in range, stood right in front of him and yet still couldn't catch him clean.

Haye's performance against Wlad doesn't show that Haye is great or anything like that, it just shows that Wlad is far more limited and less accurate than people think and that the opposition he is knocking out are terrible.

Hayes challenge was just slightly better than Ibragimovs, also not once did Haye hurt Wlad, I don't get why the Haye fans make **** up.

 

Haye fell out with boxing a while back.

He didn't really want to fight Klitschko, I think he only did it because of the amount of grief he was getting at the time.

When he did get in there, he was more bothered about not getting hurt and being able to leave Germany without a mark on him and his cheque banked.

Chisora showed a good defence but he got caught with much more punches than haye did..

 

Let's not forget how great Kingpin Johnsons performance vs. Vitali is looking in hindsight. Vitali knocked out Adamek and Solis, but Johnson went a full 12 rounds.

Haye seems to be as good as Kingpin!
