ppv, you never know what you'll get.

To be fair you know exactly what you're getting with a box of chocolates these days just need to read the thing inside it.

 

Yeah man, problem with that is most people nick the good ones 1st when you buy one of those big tubs for Xmas and your left with the ones no body eats for this rest of the sodding year

 

i was pissed off that i stayed up until 6 to watch that let alone if i had to pay for it, only got 1.5 hours sleep ****ed all day and have sparring tomorrow not bloody happy

menjivar fight was dull and he didnt try enough
cody mckenzie shouldnt of been on the ppv what were they thinking
kim and maia was an unlucky one but still
cote lee failed to catch fire
tito v forrest, i saw that fight twice before last night
chael cashed out and went down without a fight and had no intention of backing up all that talk

all in all that was a terrible show from my point of view, didnt see one prelim either which dont help matters

 

On paper it was a decent card, 3 or 4 potential barn burners. Just one of them nights I suppose :conf

Anyone buy a PPV for the first time? Are you happy with it or wont you be buying a UFC event again?

 

I watched this card in a house with a dozen screaming Brazilians. Really added to the atmosphere. Retrospectively it was a pretty average card with some pretty bland or anti-climactic fights and finishes, but sitting there watching it was an arseload of fun.

It was a poor card but have to remember Franklin was supposed to be in there vs Le which would of been a much better fight. The Co main event was supposed to be Faber & Cruz even then it was switched to Faber Vs Barao. Still a poor card even for the late changes.

The next two events don't look much better either. Not sure if its just me but since the WEC got merged the UFC cards seem to have been watered down instead of the quality going up overall.

 

That was my 1st MMA PPV and it didn't put me off. I wasn't blown away nor dissapointed although I did enjoy it. I'm no real MMA fan but I may buy another MMA PPV in the future if you boys think it'll be a good one.

People who get put off buying PPV's cos of some matchups not becoming barn stomers obvioulsy don't understand style's make fights and the ring's an unpredictble place. As a punter sometimes you win somtimes you lose that's the beauty of combat sports, when you get an unexpected thiller and the hair stands up on the back of your neck, you can't beat it for pure entertainment! :thumbsup

 

You not in the UK? ESPN for a £10 a month isn't bad its the American mob getting but ****ed for every PPV what is it $40 over there probably more roughly two a month.

I joined ESPN that night for one month just to watch the Silva fight cos you lot had been getting excited about it on the forum, I got curious. I dodn't usually subscribe to ESPN (I can live without FNFs nad they don't show much MT) so for me it was kind of PPV. Apparently the guy on the phone at Sky said I get anohter UFC event in a few weeks as well.
