Canelo vs Chavez Jr

Good fight, but JR may be to big for Canelo. JR has really grown on me.. and I don't know how to call it...

I think JR is gonna steam Roll Martinez in an early competitive fight then take him out in the late, then will move up to 168 and this dream fight with Canelo will never take place only in dream fights. Maybe Canelo will one day move to 160 as he is still 21 and his body will keep growing.

 

I've been saying this since I got onto this forum.


Alvarez is not SO much better than Chavez, that he can over come the size difference.

 

Chavez Jr. actually has a better work rate than the smaller Alvarez. That spells disaster.

 

Canelo is definitely Shorter but he is built like a ****ing Brick House, And being 21 he may definitely grow and one make a huge fight with JR...

great fight it make a good best of three afair. now i just think chavez so big & better workrate

 

now - JR keeps coming forward and outworks/out muscles him. Also tests his chin

future - i think canelo will keep improving and have the advantage. Also will have a better legacy than JR IMO

Chavezx Jr has gotten alot better but has no defense at all. Thats Martinez will take him all night long and Caneo will box the hell out of him. Size can only take u so far

 

The size difference in those pics looks bigger than I thought it would be. Tough fight to pick at this point.

Jr is just too big. When the bell rings, he holds a huge size difference over other Middleweights, so it would be even more pronounced against Canelo.

The amount of money that could be made from this fight makes me think they'll try and make it at some point but I'm not sure it'll ever happen. It gets less likely with every passing day, as Jr gets closer to his inevitable move to 168.

If they make it now, it should be at 160 with a strict rehydration clause; that's the only way GBP would sign it imo. Something like, both guys have to weigh a maximum of 170 on fight night.

 

Wont happen for many reasons, the biggest being the fact that Jr is essentially a LHW fighting at MW.

Jr will get his signature win vs Martinez then he'll move up to dominate the SMW division like we've never seen before or will ever see again.:deal
