Isn't it clear that Abner Mares, who still doesn't get as much respect as he should, is the best and most well rounded fighter at 122? Rigondeaux has yet to really have a signature win in his career, and Donaire is dynamic but might be more flawed than both Rigo and Mares. Watching the fight last night, I was feeling that Mares would of had Mathebula so diminished by his body punching and combinations that he would have dominated him for the full 12. Mares is the most complete fighter at 122, after Nishioka and should have more consideration from a P4P perspective than he has now.

Donaire would murder Mares. Rigo would murder him worse. Moreno and Nishioka would both murder him somewhere in between.

I have Mares at about number 12 on my P4P list.

    Donaire at 9.

Nonito's limitations show, as he moves up in weight.

I'd rate that group as follows:
    1. Moreno
    2. Rigo
    3. Nishioka
    4. Mares
    5. Donaire

But, it's a real tough call between #1 and #2. I don't think much of Donaire.

Donaire loses to Nishioka, Rigondeaux, Moreno and Mares.

The first two without a doubt.

"Lackluster win" against a title holder who fought on the back-foot for 12 rounds.

Donaire is very much hittable and has always been that way. He's willing to take chances to try end the fight with one punch.

I hope TR and GB can get it together to make Donaire-Mare. It's one of the biggest fights that can be made in boxing, IMO.

Nishioka vs Donaire would be awesome.

I think Donaire beats Rigo, and Mares. All of which would probably be good fights.

If there was a low blow competition, Mares would indeed be number one on the P4P list.

Mares has just shown more to me as a fighter than any of the guys at 122 right now. The guy is too tough and fearless for me to ever count him out. I believe he'd be find a way to win against a Donaire or Rigondeaux.

I mean before the results were announced last night Nonito started complaining about his legs. Then when he won the 'decision' he's all happy again. This guy doesn't want to dominate each division. It seem's like he just wants to collect belts so that he can beat Manny's record. The funny thing is Nonito's isn't that good as people make him out to be.

    It was so lackluster..

    mathebula lost a wisdom tooth.

A wisdom tooth? You know you need surgery to get those out? Nobody gets a wisdom tooth punched out..
