A real heavy (Price, Wlad) would have knocked Maddalone cold. Fury was landing at will but failed to knock Maddalone out cold. He has time to improve, but it wont be enough.

Fury didn't 'box' well, although he looked better than usual, that's not saying much. If he really thinks he is the greatest heavyweight since Ali he needs to fight some real opponents

Yeah, but Wlad only really has the 1,2 and that's it! He's got the power, but Fury has the type of power to wear you down, along with combination punching and speed.

He's still 23, which is extremely young for a heavyweight in this era. He doesn't need to rush to fight the Klitschkos, but he probably will anyway.

First time I've seen Fury, and I kind of liked his style. Not ready for Wlad yet, but at least he went out there throwing punches in bunches, which is pretty rare among todays heavies. Hell, Thompson didn't throw one good punch the entire fight. We should be glad we have a heavy out there willing to go out there punching.

Fury DOES have powe, i know nascimento isn't anything special but when you can turn a 240lb man's lights out with a single shot you DO have power

It's Fury's technique thats the problem, he arm punches far too much.

That said his power is getting better as his body matures

You dont need power to be a good boxer or a champion. Power is a plus but there are many guys who cant hit hard who have done well. Fury has a great left hook to the body.
