For the longest time people (mainly the sky pundits) have been saying no one has brought the best out of kell, "he has alot more gears to go thropugh", "he's only ever fought in second gear". Why was he stuck in neutral after round 6 yestersay? did his gearbox blow?

Lets be honest here, he has been waaaay overhyped for a while and pretty much got exposed as a c level fighter yesterday, he folds under pressure, his weaknesses are everything people say khan has and more. With khan he will still fight back and fight hard in the championship rounds, where as brook put it into reverse and started to run, made a sad face and never really fought back. He has no more gears, he is all flash and no substance imo.

and i dont for a second believe he drained himself for the fight, if you watch the weigh in he wast hitting the water straight off the scales as a fighter who has drained himself would, he was just casually wallking around doing interviews, he had no problem wth the weight, NONE, was just an excuse.

chill oput with the confrontational posts pal, ive seen fighters who have struggeld and they the first thing they do after gettin off the scales is rehydrate, thats the first priority, They dont walk around the shoppong centre doing interviews.

Your just criticizing and making mostly false statements with every post though. He was doing interviews with a short amount of time and probably dehydrated quite soon after. They said they struggled making the weight over a longer period not a few hours before as well

no, he did a 10 minute piece with jones straight after the weigh in, what im sasying is its a natural reaction to just hit the water and food after the scales, unless youve had a small breakfast that is.

As I was logging on I thought what this forum needed was another Slag Brook thread.

He should have took the fight to Jones from about the 6th. He seemed to want to soften him up for the entire 12 rounds. All Jones offered was strength and determination and it nearly got the job done once he realised Brook didnt want to engage with him. A far from impressive performance.

He was something else for the first six rounds i was impressed. The question is whether Brook has stamina problems. Some fighters just cannot fight 12 rounds specially when they are being pressured through out. Time will tell with Brook. The other issue was the inferior opponents he's had to date. Brooks not used to getting hit and that clearly showed. He needs harder fights but they should keep him away from the main guys in welter for a few fights yet as they will paste. I thought his skills would mean he'd give Khan all sorts of trouble if they fought but now i'm not too sure.
