Dillians amateur record - Dillians first fight was the more experienced and now Olympic Gold meal prospect Anthony Joshua Dillian knocked Anthony down and won comfortably on points. He had another 6 fights as amateur stoppin 5 including putting one in a coma (recovered) in Sweden. After that the BBBoC pulled his license so he turned professional. Professional record - Dillians first two fights were against blown up very durable Cruiserweights indeed his second opponent fought Chisora 3 fights ago over six rounds and Dereck didnt stop him http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=353826&cat=boxer But as he has started to fight genuine heavyweights he has rapidly improved and is starting to show massive potential . In the past he has sparred with David Haye, Dereck Chisora, David Price, Tom Dallas,Julius Francis,Danny Williams,John Mcdemott,Mark Potter and over the last few months he has been one of the main sparring partners for Tyson Fury. He also regularly trained with MMA big names like Quentin "Rampage" Jackson and Alistair Overeem. I believe at just turned 24 Dillian has a great future ahead of him.
I appreciate the information, didn't know anything about his amateur boxing background. I've had my eye on him for a while, since the first he was supposed to debut. I haven't written him off yet just the lack of information and fights go against him. He's in a position now though where he should be stepping up and having some media coverage in the next 12 months. One problem, is he actually 24 though? http://www.slp.co.uk/Sport.cfm?id=7413&headline=Dillian Whyte tipped to be a star
Yes mate Dillian turned 24 in April previously Boxrec had the wrong date of birth which has now been corrected http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=569964&cat=boxer But as you can see Boxrec dont work full time on Sundays as they have not updated his record showing Dillians KO win on Saturday.
He is 24. Clearly just a typo by the writer of that piece. No real need to lie about his age anyway, loads of heavyweights are coming to the scene late these days, so hardly a need to roll back the years
He was undefeated as an amateur. Although he did not have any fights. This is what makes this lads story all the more remarkable . Fantastically dedicated lad and will fight anyone. Does hundreds of rounds with Kenny Anderson and we are trying to get him sparring with as many others as possible. Keep your eyes out for him real all action style fighter
He was undefeated as an amateur. Although he did not have any fights. no wonder he was undefeated:yep:yep:yep it's the only way i've kept my lifetime unbeaten run going:good
I dont see how beating Laursen who has had 1 fight in the previous 4 years (which was a stoppage loss) as a good win. Apparently he lost the first 4 rounds aswell. Good name on his record though and shows not he is not afraid to travel to fight
not a fan of quigley an i am a scouser too cocky cant wait to see him get ko although he does look a decent fighter
Are you joking? :huh The guy had NO amateur fights, was only 21 and in his 9/10th fight as a pro. He went to a former Euro champ/world title challenger's backyard and knocked him out. Madsen may not have been prime, admittedly but there's no way on earth he should be KO'd by a kid in effectively his 10th fight in his whole career.
Travis Dickinson. Not exactly a 'prospect' but away from these forums he's hardly well known. If he can get healthy he could be the breakout star of the next 12 months. He's not just a talent. He is exciting too. Just what the domestic light heavyweight scene needs.
