As most people know by now, George Groves will be returning to the ring in a couple of weeks. http://uk.fighthype.com/george-groves-announces-next-bout-california-28th-july/

Now the question is after (if?) he beats Sierra, will he still face Anderson? If he beats Anderson, who's next? Stieglitz/Abraham or surprise everyone and fight someone that will probably be easy to negotiate with, Kelly Pavlik?

Groves has also said that he's ready for 'the Cobra.' I don't think that he is, but I'd definitely watch that one. There are a lot of great names at super middle, so a solid match up won't be hard to make if Groves feels that he's ready.

Ha! Well it sounds as if he's acutely aware of that and is ready to reintroduce himself. The guy that the article mentions as his opponent seems decent. I'll probably youtube some of his matches at some point soon.

There won't be a rematch with Anderson.

If I was a promoter in the UK I wouldn't touch Groves with a bargepole, he's pulled out of so many fights it's ridiculous, with fake injuries.

Couldn't fight Anderson for whatever reason and then signed Stieglitz immediately afterwards.... then didn't end up fighting, not sure whether the injury was genuine or not.

He might as well base himself in America from hereon, he's wasted the momentum he got with the DeGale victory.... and GBP hold overall rights to him. Just fight there.

Anderson then re-match Paul Smith , then Anderson v Groves 3 with the winner meeting Paul Smith

If he somehow (highly unlikely) got in the ring with Froch, then he'd obviously be back in the mix.
Going against Pavlik would also bring his name back in the frame, very quickly, on both sides of the Atlantic.

At the moment, he just needs to get back in the ring and get back in peoples minds. His last fight was about 9 months ago.
