So what happened to all those supposed gears brook had?

I dont think this is a particularly bad thread? Apart from the 'C' level fighter I dont necessarily disagree with much else

I agree, but to be fair Brook did state he had more gears and was going to be more spiteful in this fight, had that been true he should have stepped on the gas and starting throwing more bombs wheras he looked like he was strugglng.

But yeah great fight, right result against tougher opposition which we all wanted to see, still room for improvement.

Kell had his nose broke by either a punch or a headbut, he was breathing through his mouth and got tired
He has all the skills but not too sure on the killer instinct to finish opponents off.

To be fair the OP has a point, Brook did say he had a load more gears to go through, he looked like he did in his other fights for the first few rounds, then when Jones started putting it on him Brook didn't go through the gears, he just showed he had the heart to get through a tough fight.

 

Threadstarter has a valid point but because he is an extreme khantard...

 

Brook just gassed really bad, really fast. for the first six rounds he was absolutley dominating the lad..He just needs to work on his stamina, nutrition, diet etc. and hell be back stronger in his next fight.

brook looked great for 5 or 6 rounds,the problem is when you hit someone with everything in your armoury and it don't make a dent,you do tend to back off,which is what brook did.
But to be honest,he did looked lost at times but he came through a tough fight and 9 out of 10 boxers have to do this,have hard fights,even with boxers lesser skilled,i think some posters need to have a look at other boxers ,to just get a grasp of how boxing works,even laz watches other boxers now:yikes

im not sold on brook just the same as i am with khan,think they will both end up around the same level,good world level but not great and defo not elite:hey

 

haven't seen anyone else make this point, which seems pretty valid imho - be interested to hear from those with experience how much that would have contributed to brook's tiredness

 

Jones Body work was awesome. Proper oldschool broke Brook down. It was great to watch.

Can't wait to see both of these fighters again. I think they both have bright futures.
