Y'know...In theory, Lopez should be considered for the shot at Canelo.

After all, he beat the guy who was going to get the shot at Canelo had he won the fight against Josesito.

Not saying that he wouldn't be at a huge size disadvantage or anything or that I would give him any real shot of pulling the upset; but to be honest this fight isn't any worse of a mismatch than Canelo-Ortiz would have been...And I can see it being a better and more competitive fight than Canelo-Mayorga could ever hope to be at this stage of El Matador's career. :deal

Not Lara or Molina, two guys that could both possibly beat him, a light welterweight.

    :good

Josesito is undersized and if this had been announced before Ortiz vs. Lopez had happened it would have come off as an inexcusable mismatch...but you're absolutely correct. He decisively beat the guy who was supposed to be a credible opponent for Canelo despite giving up some size (let alone that Lopez himself was giving up considerable size to Ortiz...)

He has earned the payday, that much is damn sure.

No. It is GBP fault. They need to scrap the 9/15 card.

I guess if Josesito knocks Canelo out it will :-( one thing is for certain I've lost all respect for Canelo, for evening considering such a fight against a current natural JWW. I'll be rooting for Lopez, although with the size disparity alone I don't think he stands much of a chance.

I don't understand what GBP endgame is with signing a fight like this? Unless it's to **** off Canelo's loyal fans, as I can't see even the most extreme diehard Alvarez loyalist being happy with him fighting such a small man.

It would have been so much better for that division if he waited on Lara, or Molina. I actually think Molina would have a great chance of beating him.

KnuckleUp Lopez is a Junior Welterweight, he struggled and couldn't even hit the 147 pound mark for Ortiz. Josesito will be giving up 20 to 25 pounds of muscle come fight night.

I really hope Lopez comes out of this unscathed, and hopefully with another KO victory. If this is all true Canelo is nothing more then a little ***** in my eyes. Disgraceful.
