I disagree.....I think you all have every right to feel this way because on paper.....this is absolutely a mismatch....however, Lopez made me a believer that at the very least he gives Canelo some issues....the power and size may be too much to overcome but I believe Josesito will bring a fresh game plan to the ring with him that will be customized for a bigger opponent who has big power. It would be ideal to let Josesito take a fight at 154 before going into the loins den, but Ortiz lost....lost bad and Lopez is capitalizing on a huge career changing opportunity. I think you all will be surprised at how the fight unfolds.

Because he just went from 140 to 147, to then take on a big Jr MW, we KNOW he'll get outmuscled.

Anyway, I don't believe this fight will happen.

Lopez is a natural Lightweight!!! Canelo is a big LMW! Disgraceful fight GBP! I know you had good fights but pull outs, Injuries ect ruined them but damn LMW is PACKED! This is bad!!!

I know.....Lopez is moving up faster than be probably should but he's winning....the size will an obstacle but I think Lopez showed grit and a champions mentality in his best win over Vic. I know Canelo is the favorite and should be....but these kinds of opportunities are what makes a fighters career.....or breaks it. I'm hoping to see something special for Lopez on September 15....how big would the upset be for our sport is Josesito beats Canelo?

Funny how many of you wanted the ortiz fight, josesito beat ortiz and he earned this, lopez can come in at 150 or lower,it's not a big deal, too many hypocrites on this forum.I think its better then mayorga or quintana, lopez is a young lion and i think he can carry the power.

idk, it didnt look like Lopez was taking Ortiz punches very well. every shot Ortiz landed looked like it hurt him. it was his heart that kept him in there.

Canelo can damn sure pack a punch to take his lights out early imo.

I really think he showed tremendous grit and determination as well, so I agree with you there. I certainly hope you are 100% correct I really do, but Alvarez is gonna be one big strong *** come fight night.

I honestly hope I am completely wrong and you are right :deal

I guess at least it's not Mayorga or Quintana. This better not be PPV though.

Has ANYONE besides that one guy on the scene confirmed this??? :?

Twitter is lighting up among individual users (fans), but they're all seemingly citing the same article as their source.

Dan Rafael, Steve Kim, none of those dudes have said a thing.

Nothing on Oscar's feed, or Canelo's, or the main GBP one...

Look....you all are probably right. Lopez did feel some of those punches from Ortiz at WW....But Ortiz can bang without a doubt...154 is a whole new ball game and Canelo is a heavy hitter himself so the chances of Lopez losing is likely....I just have a feeling about this kid continuing his momentum and having a stellar year....but even if he loses to Canelo on September 15........Josesito will get his point across....he will need all that heart and perseverance he showed against Ortiz and then some to topple the 154 king pin......outside of the great Floyd Mayweather, of course.

I like your positivity and hope you're right :good

A 2 weight division jump against a young, powerful, BIG Junior Middleweight is a tall order though.
