i find feinting a really underrated skill, it helps you set up punches, analyze for weakness and spots to take advantage of when doing so against your oponent in the ring. I recently watched de la hoya vs mayweather. Man even i flinched just watching floyd throw those feints, so subtle and quick. Is there anyone who does this better? I'd like to learn different ways of feinting and apply them when i spar.

current or all time? Duran had some nasty feints. There was one sequence against Ray in the first fight where he feinted his jab 3 times in a row and it made Ray back up each time toward the ropes. Then Duran followed up with a fake right cross that he used to pivot his body forward into a clinch and started to hound Ray on the ropes.

If I find the exact scene, I'll post it

Did you catch the one at the end of one of the early rounds? Floyd shifts forward to feint, Oscar slips his head left in anticipation of a jab, and then finally Floyd loops the left around Oscar's ever parry ready hands landing his leaping left hook to punctuate the round.

Floyd uses the left hand feint, the threat of the left had already been established from the hooks Floyd landed from the opening bell, to distract Zab and set up a series of rights.

First combo beginning at 2:16 created by the left hand feint featured a str8 right downstairs.

2:23 he uses the left hand feint once more but aims the str8 right for the head this time.

2:27 same feint but str8 right to the body.

2:30 ref impairs our vision but str8 right to the head probably set up by that same feint.

Floyd switches up his repertoire, body-head-body, to keep the opponent unsure and second guessing thus mind****ing theyselves. His victims unable to know where his strikes are targeted then become anxious and nervous leaving them with a scared hand that's prone to making mistakes. They become hesitant and begin to throw less.

Mosley also didn't know whether Floyd would be striking with his jab shank downstairs or str8 right up top, once Floyd got his jab to the body feint going.

man floyd is a fcking genius, i never really studied and focused on his clips back then because i didn't start boxing till last year. He has everything in his arsenal. You never really see guys put it all together and use everything in the ring like he does thats what sets him apart from most.

Morales was the best. Supposedley because of his feinting he gave Floyd a butt whuppin in sparring. Floyd had a hard time figuring him out. Floyd a master at it. Marquez moves his shoulders alot to add confusion. Bhops on occasion was pretty good.
