With no Vitali Wlad could have had Chisora, Solis, Arreola, 2008 Peter, rematch with Sanders and even Lewis on his record. Sure they're not great names by any means but better than the Austin's, Mormeck's, Thompson's, 2010 Peter and old Rahman's of the world.

I didn't mind his run from Ibragimov - Chambers but the fact is, whether there was other viable options or not, that 3 of Wlads last 4 fights are a ****ing disgrace.

 

Austin, Thompson, Peter and Rahman were all mandatory fights so your point doesn't hold up.

The HW division is at its lowest point ever.

You read the top tens from the sanctioning bodies and its mix of dudes with either next to no fights under their belts, multiple loses or should be relaxing in a care home.

If thats the top ten what about the rest of the division!

While im not a big fan of Klits who are they supposed to fight? There literally is no one out there atm.

I said something similar on another thread: At the end of round 5, Thomson was practically out on his feet, with over 30 seconds left in the round, YET WLAD DIDN'T FINISH HIM. I don't think Wlad even threw a single meaningful punch during those 30 seconds.

Would they have been in that position if Vitali wasn't around? I think others would have got an opportunity. But because Vitali beats those guys I mentioned it automatically knocks them down the pecking order.

You're still looking at things from a current perspective with Vitalis influence on the division. I'm looking at it with Wlad as WBC champ having to fulfil those mandatory requirements also.
