I still haven't understand why Ward turned down a fight with Bute who is much easier opponent than Chad and generates more money.

    Ward, unfortunately, didn't anticipate that.

Because Bute was largely unproven and had been sparkled by a C-level plodder.

Chad Dawson is the champ at 175lbs. Historically Chad will be lightyears ahead of Bute.

Ward wanted to see how he would do against Froch first.

No, just no... only the Buttards really thought Bute would top Ward.

Everyone knew and recognized Ward as THE champ.

Edit - I meant the Froch fight

Yeah i agree that Ward would have been favorite but Bute was favourite in the Froch fight. Im not saying Ward ducked him just that his stock was far higher before Frcoh slapped him silly.

Ward wants to fight the best and build his legacy.

If he beats Dawson,he has a pretty amazing resume at only 28.

    Abraham
    Kessler
    Froch
    Dawson

As well as a few other good contenders like Bika.

The guy can go on to real greatness.

Needs to be at 175. Dawson will be too weak at 168
