The shockwave from the uppercut Lewis landed on Vitali ko'd Wlad at ringside.
Any version of Lewis KO/TKO Before 4.

Wlad is more talented than Lewis and Vitali.

Wlad dominates Lewis like Vitali did and knocks him out like McCall and Rahman did.

Vitali took the fight on just 10 days notice.

Vitali was clearly winning the fight 4-2 on all 3 scorecards at the time of the controversial bull**** doctor stoppage. Lewis barely survived the 2nd round and almost got KO'd, he was out on his feet, badly hurt, holding on for dear life, wobbling everywhere and staggering around the ring like a drunk. Lewis was badly hurt several times in the fight and was getting outslugged, outworked, outmuscled, outclassed, outlanded and outboxed by Vitali.

    punches landed

    Vitali 156

    Lewis 102

Lewis was exhausted, worn down and hurt from the accumulation of punches and was ready to get KTFO again, he collapsed onto his stool at the end of the 6th round, Vitali was clearly the fresher of the two, he would've KO'd Lewis for sure if the fight had continued.

After the fight, Vitali intimidated the **** out of Lewis and made him look like a *****. The whole crowd cheered for Vitali and booed Lewis.

    Lewis promised Vitali a rematch.

Vitali destroyed Kirk Johnson in 2 rounds and called out Lewis again in the post fight interview. The gutless coward Lewis retired shortly after that fight.

Lewis turned down 40 million dollars for a rematch and retired like a coward because he knew he would get destroyed by Vitali.

Vitali dominated Lewis and scared his ***** ass into retirement.

George Foreman: "Vitali was winning the fight. Lewis got lucky. There has to be a rematch!"

Jim Lampley: "A lucky escape for Lewis who was clearly losing the fight"

Even Emanuel Steward was upset and pissed off at Lewis for blatantly ducking a Vitali rematch.

Lewis is scared to death of Vitali.

Everyone knows it was a controversial bull**** doctor stoppage.

Vitali got robbed. The corrupt doctor and ref were on Lennox's payroll.

    It should've been a TD6 for Vitali.

    Official Scorecards

    Pat Russell: Vitali 58-56

    James Jen-Kin: Vitali 58-56

    Tom Kaczmarek: Vitali 58-56

    Sky Sports: Vitali 58-56

    HBO: Vitali 58-56

    Lennox's mom: Vitali 58-56

Vitali wasn't even in his prime yet.

Lewis was still in his prime at 37. He was coming of the win over Tyson. In the post fight interview Lewis said "I'm like fine wine, I get better with age"

Before the Vitali fight, Lewis said "I'm at the peak of my powers, I will keep fighting for many more years"

Vitali whooped his ass, dominated him and scared him into retirement.

Vitali and Wlad have both easily surpassed Lewis.

You seem to think that this Wlad isn't scared shitless of getting hit (which he quite clearly is) Vitali throws a lot of punches and connected against Lewis with well over 30 big shots. The type of shots the Wlad would land about 20 in a whole fight, let alone 6 rounds.

It either goes Wlad UD by boxing off the back foot all night, while Lewis has a few good moments or Lewis KOs Wlad after getting the better of him while trading.

    Quotes from Steward:

“Wladimir is gonna be the one I don’t think I could train a man to beat the way he is. I’m serious. I’ve never had a fighter – I went from Holyfield and all the guys I’ve worked with, never, Lennox – Wladimir is a very, very committed, very difficult fighter to beat. Because he won’t let you fight him. He makes you fight what he wants you to fight. But the biggest thing which I think people are not looking at is his speed for a big man. Tremendous speed. Foot Speed. He can move in, explode, move out, move back in, explode, and I’ve never seen anyone that could…move in and out and be in perfect balance,”

"Wladimir has better one-punch knockout capability than Lennox"

"Wlad has the best footwork, coordination and balance of any fighter I ever worked with. He’s the most accurate, single-punch knockout guy I have ever seen. A guy can be completely fine, not hurt, and Wladimir can put his lights out with one shot."

"Wladimir’s coordination is better and he is the most powerful natural talent than any other heavyweight I have worked with."

"In terms of jab, Wladimir is the best and after him I would put Lennox. In terms of boxing arsenal, Wladimir is better than Lennox."

Wlad would definitely beat him to the punch, he puts the hook in his face then knocks em' out with a right.

I don't really get these comments about Wlad being "scared shitless" or "made to look uncomfortable" when someone comes at him.
Like it's a really bad thing that is losing him fights. The way people go on it's like he's some sort of Audley Harrison character who can't fight back when someone's fighting him.

Consider the fact that Lennox Lewis looked really too comfortable just about the time when Rahman knocked him out. He was probably a better fighter in his over-cautious mode.
And Larry Holmes fought with a pained expression on his face and exhibited a tense breathing pattern. I'm sure there are snippets from some of his best fights where he looks 'scared' on the back foot, against guys who really were not good.
Jack Johnson probably clinched his way through his whole career and was branded a coward by some.

I think it would be a great fight... Lewis would get the stoppage eventually. Lewis may have to fight with a beat up face and get up from a knockdown to get the job done though.

I'm not sure why many feel that Wladimir is a much bigger puncher and a much better finisher than Vitali. One thing is for sure, Vitali is much more durable. Wlad may be a little quicker, accurate, and even more technical but Vitali is a little taller, heavier, IMO stronger, hits as hard if not harder, as good if not better jab, and much more durable (that can't be stressed enough).

I think it's quite clear why. Vitali can't touch wladimir when it comes to two fisted power, offensive arsenal, jab, technical skills, defense.

-Lewis has never got up from a knockdown to win a fight or even beat the count.

-Wlad is waaaay more quicker and accurate than his brother. As for power, we see Wlad scoring one punch KOs and knockdowns with both hands on a regular basis while Vitali stops fighters on accumilation volume punching or in some cases like Chisora and Briggs doesn't.

-Vitali has never been knockedown but he seems to cut much easier than his brother (Gomez and Kingpin even bloodied him) and is far more prone too injuries.
